I have been so much blessed and encouraged by this testimony. I am going through a very tough time in my marriage for 12 years until I decided to walk out.

I have been blessed by Pastor Joan's music since 1996, ever since I heard her audio, Ngoro yakwa niyenda Jesu. Her album Pambazuka na Yesu greatly uplifted me, followed by Kinyukia kahora. The latest music to bless my heart was Meli ya Tarshishi during a time I was jobless for a whole year. God bless you mightly Woman of God. Wow! I relate with your story, my mum was in an abusive marriage too... i lost count on the number of times I had to sleep with all the knives in the house just to prevent the worst from happening, there were times I had to stand in the middle trying to stop a fight and then there were days I had to stay awake the whole night incase a fight broke out But through it all God stood with us and made a way.All the victory and the glory belongs to him.

Exactly what I went through with a man preaching about God 😳 it is very true what Joan is saying. Yes it becomes as a shock when the person you have trusted with all what you have abusing you. But I gained courage to leave I stayed under ground for so many years until I was healed fully I praise the name of the lord we have victory with my children today.you go through a lot of shame and betrayal I was terrorised all the areas of my life. I was abused psychically, emotionally and financially sold some properties they finished all the money with women.I started again from the scratch it was really painful 😖 and the most challenging thing was seeing my innocent children suffer in the hands of the man they call their father. Anyway God is good he healed my children my first daughter has finished her masters in Human Resources and business management she is working here in UK the last born is in her first year in university doing communication and media come on let give praise to this awesome God. 🙏

Am in tears I understand you mum I served this man for three years as P/A and I know he can do anything but the God we serve is always there for us .You are a strong woman of God and God is taking you higher heights.

That part of the son defending mom is very emotional. It has made me shed a tear. It’s deep and the son was already tired of seeing his mother being abused. Before he made the decision to act, he had really got at the end of it and could even result in a depression and lifetime trauma. As a mom you did the best in preventing him to confront his dad cuz it’s indeed a curse. Some things are hard!🤦‍♀️

Profound story. An encouragement to many. As we focus on women going through abuse in marriages, let's not forget the many men who go through even worse, but can't open up for various reasons, especially because of stigma and societal expectations. It's a sad story.

My question is, was he a pastor? And what was he preaching to God's children? I commend you ,strong woman indeed! I use to listen to your songs and they would comfort me in my worst situations! Little did i know this is what you were going through! I just want to tell you God will always be the father to your kids ",ask them to forgive him" God is so faithful look at where he brought you to heal his beloved! Im very encouraged by Pastor Joan and I actually asked her to send me Audio CDs just to listen to her inspiring songs when i learned she is here in Canada. I can relate with her story which I did not know. I am here in Canada too and we have talked over the phone once and now i know what i didnt know. I used to attend their church as a child and we would play with her kids around the church but until today i still rem how she used to cry when she stood on the alter to sing, its so sad that this is what she was going through.

Just watched this and I cried.I remember Your kids 11years ago at Roasters swimming.They loved me and my family and couldn't get enough of us..Your daughter really begged me to come visit at her home.Unfortunately I didn't.. i was travelling to Australia. im soo happy they are grownups.
