As a 3rd gen tacoma owner I should not get behind the wheel of a ranger raptor. My truck is on 33's and I mob around that thing like its a hellcat. The ranger raptor looks like trouble to me. And the things I'd get myself into with this truck! Ford really got this one right. What a fun little truck.

I've ran BFG AT's on my trucks for decades. I've always hated the wet performance and over the last couple years I've been doing more highway driving than ever so I looked for something else. Been on Nitto Exo Grapplers (3/4 tonne Dodge Cummins) and I really like them. They were very good in the snow, and blow the BFGs away in wet performance especially standing water.

It blends on/off road handling so you get to know the truck and can predict its moves more regardless of surface. Just a thought. Ford dumped a lot of resources into the raptor engineering, and id like to hear their thoughts on tire chioce for the Ranger Raptor.

@TheTopher Maybe you can answer me this question since I'm not a truck guy, but why aren't people asking for something just like a pickup truck but with a built in hard body cover...so namely a van? All this tinkering to secure an open truckbed that no one is filling with anything that exceeds the height of the cabin kinda blows my mind. A 4WD van with tall cabin and removable seats would be the ultimate answer to every flaw in a pickup truck (except maybe for 5th wheel applications). Family shuttle, work vehicle, towing capacity, offroad. It's like they could kill a couple of their other categories and just make certain things like bed length, height, engine and interior fitments modular and focus on quality. Heck, they could even utilize the cabin frame as a platform for a crane to lift engine blocks or whole pallets in for deliveries they could unload themselves. Unless you really wanna toss a shovel in slo-mo into your truck bed like the commercials show....about the only reason I could imagine you'd want an open-top truck bed. Giggity.

Please give me your opinion on why you bought the raptor versus a Trd pro for the bison? I prefer the raptor I think, but I have not driven any of them and I am currently searching.

Could you link the hooks you got for your truck bed? I've been wanting a cargo net for my 22' Ranger and didn't think to use bolts with hooks that I could order from Amazon.

I have the same bed cover. A good choice. Hard covers look better but are less practical.

They’re pretty practical if you live in a place where people are trying to jack your stuff constantly.
