It's been a fun ride

Strawberry Reservoir always amazes me. Anyone can fish most anywhere on the lake and expect to catch trout between 16 and 20 inches on your visit. There are not too many public places right on a major highway where you can do that! Strawberry has been giving up oversized trout for many, many years and if you are even an "average" fisherman you shouldn't have difficulty catching a limit of healthy trout (4). Be sure to check the state regulations if you want to keep your catch. Living close to Strawberry is a fly fisherman's dream come true!

@@TroutHowler Yes, we went to Mud Creek. The wind kicked up and made the fishing from shore a little difficult ... but we still caught some nice fish with a couple of "cutts" near the top of the slot limit. Best fly we used was a Diamond Jig Leech (sz 12, "firecracker" with a gold tungsten bead). As soon as the water warms a bit, I will be kickin' around in the float tube. BTW, I did lose a very nice fish on the Osthoff mega orange scud (never saw the fish). Cheers!

200? RIGHT ON!!! I tried the ladders before the ice started coming off and by the next sataurday, the Berry was open. It went crazy fast this year. Thanks for all your videos!

OMG - Previously Had no idea that men go stand on ladders in water then go and fish onto decaying ice. Amazing!

@@anthonyrstrawbridge I don't think he was talking about standing on a ladder in the water like you see at Pyramid Lake, Nev. There is an area on the north end of Strawberry Reservoir called locally "The Ladders" because there is a series of fish ladders that typically goes "ice off" early and before most other spots on the lake.

The first part was April 24th. I started fishing a little after 6pm. The second time with my buddy was on Saturday the 27th
