cix is VERY underrated- which is crazy to me because they really have one of the best discographies in kpop in my opinion. Their B-Sides are totally top teir as well- thanks for giving these guys a chance.

Movie star will still be for me best debut of 4th gen group

Their concept is based on Yonghee committing suicid3 (in Save me kill me mv) and also on Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy, a really famous Italian poem from the 14th century. The Divine Comedy actually starts with Dante fainting seeing the girl that he loves, Beatrice, that died really young and he has this dream where he goes through all the layers in order to reach Paradise to meet her again. The Divine Comedy is based on Dante's journey through: Inferno (hell, where sinners are put in different layers based on their sins and are being punished without salvation), Purgatorio (place where they are still being punished but they can be saved and go to Paradiso or can go to Inferno) and Paradiso (paradise, where those with graces go). Jungle is based on the inferno part. The quote at the beginning is the first line of the poem In this mv we can see different kind of punishments, and there is a huge presence of water because all the layers are connected by 3 rivers: Acheronte the water river, Stige boiling blood river, Flegetonte fire river. You can see Yonghee on the boat, the boat is really important because the souls of the sinners are guided to their specific layers by Caronte on a boat. I like to think about this as Yonghee guided to his layer because of what he did, because as we know in Christianity committing is a sin. This concept is present throughout all their mvs, since the debut, Movie star represents the temptation of sins, how these tempt you into following them. And even the quote you saw it is from the poem, it is right at the beginning of the poem. Wave I think wants to represent the overcoming of the different hardships in life, of course how the mv end stands to represent the Save me kill me mv when Yonghee is on a hospital bed. I totally recommend you to watch the Story Films if you are going to check out the Save me kill me mv because you will understand more about the concept. About the last cb they had I still didn't have time to really understand what it is about, I think the girl has to represent Beatrice, so probably what drives them to go on with their lives, so she is a figure that represents our aim in life so she king of programming their minds?. event though I think that is much more evident in 458 the strong drive to reach our goals. I forgot to mention that all of them are in Inferno because all of them did sin, that again will be shown a lot in the Save me kill me mv. Yet again, I recommend you to watch: Save me kill me together with the story films videos Cinema (about purgatorio and them making the tape of their friendship that they are watching in save me kill me) 458 (more focused on Beatrice figure) and a lot more Thanks for the reaction!

I'm glad you're delving into CIX. I became a fan when I saw them at a K-Pop festival and was immediately amazed by Bae Jin-Young dancer extraordinaire. The singer you liked is Kim Seunghun. CIX has a very heavy (as in tragic) lore if you're interested in their universe. Songs you should check are 458, Bad dream, and Numb. Enjoy.

I always love seeing people's reaction to the ending scene in Wave lol having such a light hearted song then ending with such an intense image. Everyone suddenly goes "Wait, what?" Wave was my first song by CIX I heard and fell in love with them. I 100% recommend watching Wave on It's Live. They are such amazing singers and their personalities shine. I also LOVE Save me, Kill me. It's super emotional, but just a gorgeous song.

Hello! Thank you so much for reacting to CIX their literally my ults I’m going to cry😭❤️ Anyways a little information on their storyline, their main story goes off of Dante’s Devine comedy. CIX is pretty story driven as for 2 of their songs ‘Numb’ and ‘Save me kill me’ both have story films and are the most obviously connected to one another. As far as I’m aware I believe CIX’s main story has recently come to an end which followed in their first single release of ‘Lovers or enemies’ I really hope you can find the time to dive into CIX and get the know the members along with their amazing discography, personally all their songs are a win literally no skip discography, their b sides are so good, if I has to recommend a few off the top of my head it would be ‘Young’, ‘everything’, ‘Bend the rules’, and ‘Ice’ :> Ps. If you’re looking for another song with a sexy concept (cough cough) CIX has this really good song called ‘458’ 😇

I'll echo a lot of people here and say that CIX has an all around great discography, they really do! I'm not caught up with their releases, so Cinema is still my favorite from them so far. Wanna One was the first group where I bought every single version of every single album lol. Highly recommend them.

Personally I feel like maybe you should check out one more round of songs before getting to a guide? just to see if you would really like to jump into them (even though i really want you to haha). maybe a combination of more title tracks and bsides. they have dance practices for them! Let me recommend my favorite songs of theirs (which is reeeeally difficult because I love their discography): -title tracks: Numb (my favorite rap verse from BX) 458 (i dare say my favorite TT??) Save Me, Kill Me -bsides: What You Wanted (sexy choreo, gives 90s/00s boyband feels?)
