He should have asked, "Do you know how Cambly works?" Works with an "s" at the end, since it is plural. There is a lot of past tense corrections that should be noted with the tutor. You sir from Vietnam are doing great though! Good English skills so far!

Yep. A very valid point. I have caught myself falling into the trap of being influenced by how a nonnative speaker speaks English while I am helping them improve their fluency and correctness.

The "s" is added to the verb because of the 3rd person singular rule (i.e. I work, you work, he/she/Cambly works) not to form a plural. Plural is formed by adding "s" to singular nouns.
