I have a 95 c1500 with 93000. We have the same paint.

I just saw one of these today down the road at the gas station. It was all rusty just like yours and man was it neat! I talked to the owner and he was going to a show nearby.

That is one hell of a beautiful truck love that paint and and interior

I loved my 97 short bed regular cab Z71. The frame rotted out from under a pristine body. I gave it away.

I got a lowered 96 silverado single cab, pearl white. All billet grilled custom looking, really a beautiful truck. I cannot get gas without someone walking up to it and make small talks. These are amazing trucks, add a trans cooler to give the 4l60e transmission somewhat more life. Got mine rebuild a year ago, mine sits on 275 cooper cobra tires , on american racing deep dish rims. She looks mean...

Garrett Watzek audio through a video never is the same as in person when it had the stock exhaust on it you could not hear the exhaust at all while driving it was whisper quiet. Lol I did find your comment funny tho 😂

Great Trucks. Just picked up a 97. 89k orginal miles. Texas Truck. Rust Free. Super Clean. Had a 92 Forever. To me. The Last of the Great GM TRUCKS. They aged Well. Nice Lines like Old Box Trucks. Can't go wrong. They look great. There Simple . You can Work on them. Can't Beat the Old Trucks.

Some jerk in a raggedy Dodge ram rammed into my baby. Insurance totalled her out and I bought her back for a song. Easy to work on, starts every time, and pulls like a happy mule. I love my Chevy K1500.

Looks like you got a front crank shaft seal leak my does. See the oil on the ac line right of the alternator oil that has a big aluminum part oil film. I got to get mine fixed

Just thought I’d let you know they didn’t make Z71 until 98. Either way it doesn’t make a difference but thought I would point it out.

I have a 98 Burgandy 2500 4x4 it is mint. It is my 2nd 98 I have owned my first was a z model. Absolutely love these trucks. Not one of them ever left me walking or calling a tow truck. If you can find one. Buy it

why did you shoot the rim's what did the do to you at 28 sec you said the rim's were shot

This truck is really interesting to me... I see the dash doesn't have the airbag (so definitely a 95-96) but I was pretty sure that the 3rd door wasn't available until like 97 or 98.

One more question,I have a cargo lamp switch inside my truck and it does not work.Would i have to replace the bulbs or the inside switch or both?

Gary Jackson first to avoid spending even more money on new bulbs use a battery and some wire to connect to the bulb to see if they work or go ahead and replace the switch and see if the bulbs work that’s probably the best solution because then you can just buy some new bulbs if needed.

No it was just fixed right before this video was filmed.

I got a 96 stepside extended cab it’s not a z71 but it does have the 5.7 L 350

The first vortec made 250 then 97-98 are 255.

My wife owned a 99 suburban...motor had 332,000 when it gave out..4L 60 transmissions are junk..had it rebuilt twice by a guy who had 40 yrs experience...he said bad design..but overall was happy with it...Good luck...

Nothing is bad about the design of the 4L60e… it’s been around for years and lots of these trucks have high mileage on their 4L60e’s. If you’re finding that you need to rebuild your transmission that many times, try changing your driving habits or maybe the transmission shop… Sure these trannys are not built as stout as the 4L80e but it’s still a great transmission - limited to light duty purposes.

depends on what you want, if you want it black paint it black but if the truck is only scratched then you might be able to get away with a paint correction and not have to have it repainted but deep scratches into the paint will require repainting

I have the exact same truck except it's a GMC and a 97.I blew a head gasket and cracked the head so I put a 383 in it from GM performance parts because it was a direct fit, plus it was only $200 more to have the engine replace.

Bro do you how much it cost to fix it I have 97 Silverado I’m guessing the price has to be similar.

ttt gg depends on the issues there was never really anything wrong with this when my grandfather fixed it besides brakes and injectors the wheels were more of a cosmetic thing and the paint was so it wouldn't rust an undercoating so it wouldn't rust as well

I think it has to do with the latch not fully opening I'm sure there's a way to fix it but it's not that big of a deal to me cause it just takes a little extra bit of pull to get it to open.

The front tires stick out 2 3/4 of an inch from the fender. I never said it had a super aggressive stance, I said it had a better stance than stock.

Miguel Plascencia that’s because your 91 isn’t a vortec 350 so it makes about 190-200hp and 300ft lb of torque and the vortec engines from 96-98 made 255hp and 330ft lb

lockandloadlikehell well it's on the sticker in the dash and it's for the locking differential when one wheel spins the differential locks up for more traction most 88-98 obs Chevys have that differential. My truck does not one wheel peel it has the locking rear diff I've proven it in snow and gravel one wheel slips then the rear locks and both wheels turn.

@@Nerfblaster234 I know what a G80 is/does. I said: Z71 doesn't come with the G80 in GMT400s; you must order it separately. A lot of people think it comes with the Z71, automatically, when it doesn't. Not in GMT400s. I believe you have it. No GMT400 had the G80 unless that option box was ticked.

Aaron Littrell you do realize tbi stands for throttle body injection right? The injectors are in the throttle body, hence the name throttle body injection. Next time check your facts before hating on something. 😂
