But it will be our best phase of life because we get to see new people, cultures, languages, food etc..I felt the same when I left tvm in 2013 for joining MBBS in belagavi ,Karnataka. When you described your train journey via konkan, I remembered my college life there.

I had similar train smell experience in Kerala while travelling from cbe to aluva during Sabarimala season! Sleeper class was totally crowded and smelly. No need to go to North for that. This was during my college days back in 2007- 2012.
