Let us all admit that he has a great English dialect that allows almost all beginners to fathom his speech effortlessly.. Based on my modest experience, language acquisition is all about immersion, in other words, it's about exposing yourself to the language by implementing the main aspects of it : listening, reading and writting then moving on to the most intersting part of all which is speaking.. If you are willing to work on these 4 skills consistently and passionately, make sure your hard work will pay off sooner or later .. Don't underestimate the small habits that you make on regular basis, bear in mind that's a long-life process that gradually begins to show you the results of your efforts. For those who want to learn English and don’t have time, I have some advice: listen to English every day, all day long. As a Brazilian living in the U.S., doing that has been helping a lot. I used to record myself once a week, and I recommend this method.

Wow.... Such a great statement. I do agree with you. This is the best advice. The problem is that people quit and they don't keep doing it. This method really works, if people will keep doing it for a long time.

This is really common. I'm going to make many videos in the future about how to speak confidently in different situations. If you follow my advice in this video and use all the different topics of what to speak about, and practice every day, it will get much easier for you.

Hey Grant, nice tips, thank you~ I actually practice a lot before this video, but I just take audio records rather than video, I think it is okay, right ? Sometime I read a short article and sometimes with shadowing exercise, but I will compare with the original speaking anyway

Hi! Thanks sharing your story. I love it. Yes, of course it is just fine to record just the audio. You should try the video sometime, because you will be surprised at some of things you see. Reading short articles and shadowing are great. Please include some speaking where it is just you thinking about a question and speaking about it. This is where most people have the lowest confidence. Keep up the great work!

Well, the best part is your started recording yourself. IELTS Speaking is a very specific task. My advice is to follow your IELTS Speaking strategy and keep recording yourself and keep watching and improving your speaking. Every day. Record and improve and follow the IELTS strategy.

Hello Brazil!!! Congratulations on starting to learn English. That's great. I'm a big believer in thinking about how a young child learns to speak. They can't read or write, but they can speak and speak and speak (too much). You can use the same technique. You need to practice speaking and think about communicating a message. A young child says "I want candy" you can do the same. Think more about communicating and don't worry about perfect verbs and words. Practice practice practice!!! You must speak, not just learn.
