MX Master Quiet Micro Switch Mod
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
How I made my MX Master 2S mouse almost silent.
NEW Version is now available! www.ebay.com/usr/the_sky_is_t...
The micro switches are the buttons inside the mouse that register clicks. I found that the clicking noise was too loud and I wanted to share the solution I found. I hope you all find something that works for you!
Replacing the microswitches with some custom "silent" microswitches from Ebay solved my issue for only $15.00!

If u dont wanna destroy your bottom sliders before taking out the screws u need to warm it up with hair dryer and when u put it back u need to use hair dryier again so the glue will become soft.

Thanks for this tip!
Would have been nice to not leave out the soldering; that’s not a good surprise

I installed the switches. Took my about 45 min to do the job and I LOVE IT. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I love the 2S but those clicks were driving me crazy. I do a lot of After Effects work and I must click the mouse thousands of times per session... and now its whisper quiet. So cool. Thank you.

@@nikl.9500 Which switches did you get
My friend, I hate the fact that these expensive amazing mouses come with such loud clicking noises. Thanks to your video I did just that and Booom!! Silent for life! Luckily I also had a cheap silent china mouse I used for travelling!
my words!
Does this work with Logitech mx master 3 mouse & Any mouse?
one can mod the existing buttons to be quiet if you have skills and patience.
Any way to make existing switch quieter, instead of replacing it with a new switch?

Yeah, use memory foam, tape or simply hammer in the switches to reduce travel, there’s tutorials in google search results & on KZread

It's possible. You need reduce the spring travel as already mentioned. There ist a video on yt where it's shown how to disassemble the switch and align the spring. You don't need to solder.
Do you put those OMRON D2FS-F-N-T ? are those parts the silent ones ?

@@janmavec1410 I ordered D2FS-F-N-T Switches but they do not sound silent at all, they literally look the same as the green switches he showed in the video :/
The clicks are fine but the SmartShift motor is very loud!
Still noizy
