Answer to the question: 1. Absolutely agree, memories were great! 2. The actors agents submit them and negotiate with Activision casting offices for the role. You might think why do A-list actors do voice over for CoD, because millions of ppl play it, it makes hella money so the actors and agents make money, and name recognition with younger and male fans so they notice who the actors are and in turn go see more of their other action movies. These roles also acts as practice and ‘easier’ experience for better roles yet to come! From someone whose been around the industry.👍🏻

@@micahbell9093 There's quite a lot of famous actors in other games too. Lance Hendrickson, Michael Keaton, Ed Harris, Sam Worthington,Ice Cube, Keifer Sutherland, Gary Oldman and Brandon Routh. Then obviously they had Kevin Spacey, Josh Duhamel etc do the voice and motion capture. There's a whole bunch for Zombies like Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

@le Hoarderz Al-Shekelsteins New York wasn't under Russian control. It was under siege by the Russians. You take New York and you're guaranteed the Eastern seaboard. Hence why knocking out the jammer was imperative to taking out anti air defenses. Knock those out you control the sky, push the Russians back, and ultimately commandeer the Russian submarine. Hence why you can't lose New York.

It’s crazy how William Fitchner played a delta operator in black hawk down and a delta operator in. Modern warfare

2:24 I wonder if this is the actual sound bit they used in the game. It sounds identical. It’s crazy seeing it being actually recorded in real life, the shear amount of times I’ve heard “Contact, second floor” in mw3 is insane. It’s like they used that bit atleast 5 times in each mission.

These were some of the best Call of duty characters, loved how thrilling and climactic MW3 Campaign was!

Sandman was the GOAT. Always loved William Fichtner, since Black Hawk Down.

I had no idea the CoD series had such amazing actors in their own right, I recognize all of them from movies. The first guy was the present of USR in iRobot, the second was the pilot in Armageddon. Idris Elba was of course the pilot in Prometheus and the gatekeeper in Thor, Olyphant was Hitman and Mckidd was Tommy in Trainspotting.

Did you know? Price originally “died” in the original MW, but his character was so popular that they wrote him back into the story in MW2. Soap was supposed to take on the role of Captain for good after MW.

Always love when I look up voice actors and realize I already know them.

Never realized I loved all the VAs for Metal team. William Fichtner, Idris Elba and Timothy Olyphant, all awesome actors and I’ve enjoyed them in various works

I didn' t know this game had such high class actors used for the voice over. Wish i knew this earlier. Makes a legendary game even better.

I recently finished playing Black Ops 3 and I didn't really like it. So much high-tech and futuristic this and that going on that I couldn't even understand what the story is... I am slightly worried that future Call of Duty games might focus more on technology than how enjoyable it used to be....nah...
