Im really thinking about preordering do you really notice a difference in the sbmm because I’m so tired of playing sweats just want to play on the the best connection possible

I am 69.5 years old and still kinda got it for COD (1.5 to 1.7 K/D average) since buying the original R1 I think around 2015. Also went through 2 Netgear Duma routers and 1 R2 which just recently failed. My R3 is on its way, but I upgraded the R1 after the R2 failure and it still works except for limited to 200 Mbps. Reflexes not quite what it use to be when I was 50 but not bad for an old guy. Been gaming since I bought my 1st Atari back in the late 70's.

Atari 2600 was what i grew up with in the early 80's. Kaboom and super break out with the circular paddles were among my fav. Donkey Kong with mario, and pitfall were among my favs with the joystick.

I am almost 60, my dad bought us an Atari in the 70's I have been gaming ever since also and I too am playing COD with 151 Warzone wins.

Hit detection seems on point. Keep us updated on what settings you suggest in MW3.

It's really sad that we have to shell out $200 for a gaming router in order to get the best gaming experience. Great experience should be a given, regardless. From just watching this gameplay I can tell immediately that the hit detection and Time To Kill are pretty consistent. I feel confident that buying the R3 was a worthwhile purchase.

My R3 has shipped. I'll get it on Thursday. Can't wait. Moving on from my nighthawk xr700 & xr1000. I agree. Netgear didn't do a good job updating netduma on their routers.

The network telemetry in game would be nice to see like the ping and packet loss percentage along with your duma telemetry

Thanks for the vid dude. Everything looks good. I preordered mine on the 13th, a little birthday present to myself. I currently have the xr500 but man netgear isn't supporting us and the R3 I just can't pass up on.

im even more of a old fart sheeesh ..i still have the r1 and r2 looking forward to get this next year only for the ui looking forward to the stable lantency mode as i dont think this would be coming to the R2 i do like the smart QOS and see what that router can give me with 11ms in my geo filter ... yah meat map is a spawn switch map ..great game play tho for us old farts

Why would they not bring everything over? I asked them on Twitter and they are just trying to get it all stable before porting the firmware to the R2 but there are no limitations on that front

Saw the specs. Wish they went with a higher core cpu for gigabit connections. Some routers with quad core cpus can’t handle gigabit connections so it forces the user to drastically lower speeds for QOS. I use an x86 router with an 8 core cpu. Not an easy plug and play QOS set up but def worth it over most consumer products. Never lag anymore.

Geofiltering is the big reason to own a DumaOS router.

What type of internet do you have paired with this? Such as provider as well as type of connection type like fiber, cable, or dsl?

One thing to note, Activision has overall control of your experience. So don’t expect this router to suddenly make you a pro. Take it from someone whose experience is nothing but sweats lobbies every game. I’m surprised you’re able to play cross platform without any pc players in the lobby. When I cross-play it’s usually 70% pc try hards where it’s not even fun when you’re trying to fight against that using a controller.

I'd say it's worth the upgrade. Don't know how much better warzone is as I don't play it. However I've seen other people saying it's far better.

Do you know if the R3 would benefit me in Quake live for example?

@@LowPingKing PS5. As soon as I went to go play after unhooking my R2 and just hooking up the R3. It said moderate. All I ever did with the R2 was hook it up just like the R3. I never did anything lol. Just weird how the R3 made it moderate and I never changed how I did anything. Plus the PS5 says my NAT type is 2 like it always has. Those setting still show the same.

You gotta port forward on both routers. So if you have an ISP provided router you need to port forward to your netduma then netduma ports opened to game. Had a friend with this issue in Belgium and this was the fix.

@@maskedkitsune9774 I don’t know what it was. But all I had to do was separate the wifi networks and then reboot the router and modem. Then it worked. I never ever had to port forward or dmz anything. Fraser from netduma reached out on Twitter and told me to dmz. I never did that before. The only thing that was different is the R3 uses wifi 6 and has the wifi together. Just separate them and turn off everything. Then turn everything back on and cod Nat type should be open. Worked for me.

@@DIRRTY30PSN yeah you was double Nat type having two routers and not port forwarding them causes moderate Nat type as they both conflict if not port forward.

Wonder if r2 will get 4.0

No. Although it helps to see what servers you're playing on pings are.

It'll probably settle in. Just use the ping heat map to find the servers with the lowest ping.

I don't think Afghanistan has servers.

I’m glad this works for you, but this is not gonna be the experience for everyone on the call of duty series. I have the R1, the R2, the XR 500, and the XR 1000. I have been there through all settings, been on the forums forever and nothing helps for me to make it consistent. I get the 1 bullet death BS 90% of the time. Now that being said, it could be my geographical region which is the south eastern US, but I don’t know why that would be the problem. I have gigabit fiber and hell that makes it worse if anything. Open NAT, wired ethernet etc. I would definitely advise that this may not be the experience you get even though some do.

The R3's quality of service is completely different. So is the geofilter. The inconsistency on call of Duty is no longer a problem. I have an R1, R2, XR500, UDM PRO & R3. The R3 you set it and forget it. The only thing you need to keep an eye on with the R3 is the servers and as long as you know where the good ones are then you're golden.
