@@thiesp4285 it's usually the same for japanese phonetized english, you don't hear rooru and immediately think "roll", and german feels like it has the same problem but way worse as japanese has only 5 vowels and misses some sounds like L

Its the first version (I've heard) that pronounces the german parts correctly and clear. Even in the original its mostly more slurred usually. I'm very happy. Edit: Before someone asks, I know the german covers. I'm not a fan.

@@orange_rice the german cover feels like WW2 german propaganda and the images that are mostly used there should also be viewed very critically. In addition, some words have been replaced by words that mean the same thing but make it clear what is really meant. I think it's a shame that there are no decent covers in German.

@@chesterhill5693 For me its less of an issue of the contents. I love the anime despite its clearly thought provoking contents. The german covers just feel to me very cutesy. They lack the grit of the original and Bae's version. War is dirty, Youjo Senki is dirty, the song needs to be dirty too. I think that is what makes me dislike a lot of covers of the song but especially the german one's.

This cover will scream Chuuni from the beginning until the end!

That's actually a big theme in the light novels. The cover illustrations gives major "I want YOU to join the US Army" vibes, while showing Tanya with swirls in her eyes to (iirc) show the jingoism of soldiers in war... It's been years tho so I might be totally off with the last bit lol
