Seeing a stage show that's inherently incredibly seductive being performed by the ... smallest members of hololive was definitely throwing me for a loop. The fact that they still fucking nailed it was amazing. I was genuinely blown away.

Bae is such a performer. If you've ever performed on stage, I'd take a guess that you'd have heard the phrase "exaggerate your movements" because on a stage the people far away can't really see the meticulous movement and pops of the locks, and as a first time dancer, it feels kinda weird when you do it, but when you see the video of the performance afterwards, you'd understand why it's the rule. It just looks right. I reckon this applies to motion capture as well, and bae moved in a way that let the motion capture tech show it really well. Kobo's surprised me too (haven't watched other performances), she moves really well and is very on tempo.

It feels to me that Bae's outfit just pops better. the other's outfits kind of blend into the background a lot, so you can lose their movements easily. Meanwhile, Bae has big yellow and blue just before her hands, so even a slight movement is easy to catch, and draws the eye more than the others. Everyone performed great, but I think they should have chosen better outfits for this.

I'm just speaking from my own experience of performing on both small and large stages/events, how the differences feel as a performer, and that feeling and experience right before you get to dance on the big stage for the first time. In my experience, I've judged myself a lot while I still was active, and in viewing my own mistakes, I started to be able to really see and appreciate those performers who were, I guess "built different" or worked to the bone to be that good, and it made me enjoy these things more. That's why I made my earlier comment, because I felt the need to appreciate how good Bae is. If she was in the same crew as me back then, our instructor would probably always use her as an example for the rest haha

As someone who isn't a performer, a dancer or anything the like, neither is the type to join those types of things. I never really realized how much that actually makes a difference. The more subtle it is, the smoother it looks, yet the easier it is to lose the movements, it's more akin to a soft and silky voice, yet the more exaggerated it is the more "loud" it is. And yeah, you're right. Bae looks like she moves with a purpose, and does so with 200% energy. But im not going to downplay the rest either, as they were also great, and the way they moved adds to their charm and makes you see their personality pop more.

That's actually the same reason why in especially older pixel games whatever the characters did were very exaggerated. I watched a video going over the animation of Final Fantasy V, and the animator who made the video said that when comparing to real life, the characters in that game were like performing to an audience the size of a football stadium.

@@JustDom1 it's to be expected, they are used to seeing riot characters dance on the stage and they are not necessarily hololive fans, so it might seem unnecessary to some of them.

Shion and Laplus said they felt stressed and unsure about the singing parts, telling each other if they thought they could manage it, Laplus also said she'd instead focus hard on the dancing part to counteballance her insecurity at singing. But then Bae reassured, helped and motivated them both and it turned out great

I'm sure the other girls if they were asked about how it all was going were also just as hyper supportive. Thats probably one of the largest boons that Holo has over a lot of the other corpo vtuber agencies and thats all the talents are supportive of the others projects and its not at least publicly jealousy.

​​​​​​@@somedudewatchintv5297I think the intention was Kobo, Laplus and Shion being hardcore Valorant players, making them perfect for a Riot Games event. Bae has played Valorant a couple of times, and has a League stream lined up. I have a feeling Bae probably already knew the songs, it just seems down her alley even if she doesn't play League or Valorant. She's the best dancer. And she's the most well versed in English, Japanese and Korean. So that makes her perfect for leading the group. Shion's English pronunciation makes me think she's been practicing English hard to communicate with Gura. Laplus, Kobo and Bae are all well known K-pop fans. I'd say Kiara would be the only other most outspoken K-pop fan, but her being so tall wouldn't fit the aesthetic lol. Also I don't see Kiara ever playing League or Valorant.

​@@kaejuka6249Eh I wouldn't say so, Japanese struggles to differentiate the so-seo suh-sa sounds that appears a lot in Korean. Japanese speakers might also find the soft k/g and m/n/b/p sounds weird, as they differentiate harshly the sounds like we do in English. If anything, Laplus, Kobo and Bae all known for being hard K-pop fans (and Bae having studied a bit of Korean) would've helped them out the most as they've probably listened to the most Korean, and they all did fantastic. Shion only got English lines, and she did an amazing job at it, best English pronunciation I've heard from Shion.

One of my favorite things about Hololive is the lack of fear when it comes to unfamiliar languages, and performances like this just exemplify that. More than half of these people aren't fluent in En or Kor, but they still learn and perform En/Kor songs like it's nothing. Amazing!

Damn that was incredible. Bae really stole the show for me with her dancing and singing. It's just so crisp. Great job girls!
