@@TristianTate fuck the law, I've been running headers and straights since i was 16 on all my cars, 10 years later still not a ticket, radar scanners help shift to the next gear to lower the sound a bit

if any cams out a S197 you NEED long tubes and HAVE TO replace your whole timing setup.. you will get problems later trust me

I know a lot of people flame about this cam because it's not the best for performance bleh blah bleh but I want this cam. I don't race I don't even speed, I might stomp on it from time to time but other than that I don't race, I'm all about a good exhaust note and to me this is the BEST sounding cam money can buy so it's the one I want. Gotta get the mustang first though 😂 wifey wants to daily the z71 so it's time for me to get a new project.

I Detriot Rocker cams at the idle is high what is idle on yours? You need to get some long tube headers to enjoy the cam performance.

No head work, that's the beauty of these particular cams is they can be installed with no extra engine work. Not the best if you want to build your engine but work good up until that point.

how does it run? it says you have to change phasers to an uprgade, is that true?

Hot rod cams are easier and cheaper in the long run

Just a canned tune? does it ever run overly lopey/rough? id be nervous about new cam without a professional tune to adjust AFR etc..

Not a canned tune per say.....but a BAMA tune with the specifics/mods for this car.....never had a problem with any of they're tunes, always ran good but will go with a Lund Tune at some point.

No one really talks about the cons. They tend to have rough drivability at low rpms and you can smell gas fumes from the outside of the car. It's not that big of a deal for me. I'm currently on a Lito tune with full exhaust, CAI, and other mods. Car pulls like hell for a 3v. People talk shit about the gains out of these cams, but I definitely felt a difference in the mid to high ranges. 3.5k+ rpms and you'll feel em. If I could do it over, I'd probably go with Detroit rockers over the Thumprs. But I'm definitely happy with my cams
