The Instructor is flawless in delivery.

When I was a kid, I built a model of a P-51D. Used to run around the house dropping bombs on legos. Best time ever as a kid.

This has to be the most beautiful aircraft in the history of flight!

@3:02 -- "4897V roger, continue straight-in runway six, Mustangs departing one five." I've heard a lot of cockpit radio calls from the tower in my time, but it would be it would an absolute thrill to get that one! :-)

Flying is 99% sheer boredom followed by 1% sheer terror

This P51 Video was amazing. It had me pushing the rudders. Gently pulling the stick back. Good video work.

Always, always, always wanted to fly! Ended up a trucker. :-( And of course, always wanted to ride in a Mustang. For 35 minutes, I had a big stupid grin on my face. Thank you for letting me ride along too. God speed!

Wow this video has been here since 2015 still getting great comments that is amazing. But then the video is outstanding! Flying outstanding! Landing amazing, video angles from all different directions. The P51 is certainly one of my favorite airplane! There is nothing like the sound of that engine!

Been there and done it ! Came over from England five years ago for a 60th birthday treat to myself. What a great experiences from pulling up in the car park to leaving. All my family were made welcome and I couldn't believe that we could all just walk around the place,look and touch the planes without someone shouting at us ! My flight was almost the same as this one,with the other mustang in formation. Had the same pilot,Steve,and he was just so good. Fantastic and would say to everyone you must do it ( if you can afford it). Altho it is superb value for money when you talk everything into account. 'I'll be back'

I once climbed a barded wired fence two days in a row at a flight weekend in Sweden just to see a Mustang up close..I even got to speak to the pilot! My hands were swollen and stiff from the fence for a week.

Great video flying the legendary mustang. This must be a unique experience! I flew the T-6 with Mr. Larmore (by the way, a true gentlemen) and had the best experience of my life! Hope to fly the mustang one day

Very Cool....It looked like you had a great time flying the Mustang. I guess my favorite WWII and Korean War aircraft is the F4U Corsair......but the P-51 is a beautiful airplane as well. God Bless!

P-51D Mustang, absolute angel. I started building scale models of these planes in childhood and in my teens lol. I gotta see one up close and touch the prop one day. Hopefully. Awesome pilot and instructor!

Superb instruction and great flying.. excellent video :)

I'm not a pilot but I had to try it. Stallion 51 is a great place to get a flight and a little stick time. The staff and instructor pilots do everything possible to make it a great experience. Nothing compares to flight maneuvers in a P-51!

well - if you're not a pilot, do some lessons 1st on regular small aircafts .. then you'll have the smile of your life in your face after trying he Mustang:)

Obviously Steve Larmore is a hell of a pilot-instructor. And one can easily see he's at home riding his outstanding P-51 Mustang

My boy is 11, and going for his 4th flying lesson this week... now he’s seen this, he wants to start doing loops and barrel rolls!

I live close to Chino California.."Planes of Fame" and while I was out there last wednesday working, someone pulled out a beautiful P-51 and did a test run up. It's not every day I get to see this. You did a great job Pete, definitely subscribing. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. There used to be a TF51 here in the Calgary Alberta Canada area, owned by a fellow by the name of Neil McClain. The story on that bird was always that it had actually come from Bolivia. There were a couple of other P51's around here too, as well as a Corsair that had been owned by a fellow named Schafhausen( I think) in the Seattle area, and had been used in the filming of the old Blacksheep Squadron TV series.

Fantasic training. Question, is that an H model tail on a D model fusalage? That I think would be a nice add for the best of both worlds
