In qualifying she just barely made beam final, and looked a bit shaky. She literally went from eighth qualifying to gold in finals… you never know with beam.

I love how focused and determined she is, you can tell she works really hard and has a lot of passion and really wants it

Her twisting form actually improved since 2013. I feel as tho in 2012 it wasn't this bad. 2013 got really sloppy but 2015-2016 it got much better. I'm just in love with her first tumbling pass. So beautiful

Did you actually hear any of Russian commentators? They are FAR more aggressive and bias towards other gymnasts. Those not really said anything wrong, except bringing Biles to the topic (which Ivanova does constantly, lol)

@tarra rossie watch now Russians perform without flag,,,, last doping acusition wasn't even investigated, perhaps they put drug into athletes food or drink.... This year figure scating Russian girls took all 3 places, so there was white flag and Tchaikovsky playing,,, they denied us flag, we denied them any medals:)) and music of Tchaikovsky is one more thing to be proud of

For those judging her form, she brought home medals. She has also had two ACL surgeries, a knee surgery, hip issues, shoulder and back problems. Yet she has been 1-3 in the world since 2010. #queenmustafina

Amanda Pertuset that girl is a machine in a recovery issue. She is awesome, talented. Take this competition, for instance, she was injuried, and actually tired of all the effort for London, but she still managed a bronze for AA, bronze for bars, and Gold for Beam. Like come on, how does she do it?

Lockon Stratos and 1st on bars, 2nd team (with the highest score of the team on both beam and bars), and 3rd all around at the next olympics (i agree with you, 4th sometimes when she falls like back in 2014 at Worlds)

I love her. My favorite gymnast since Khorkina.

I wish NBC sports would hire Amanda Borden and Bart Conner as commentators. I feel they are so much better, especially Amanda Versus Nastia. Amanda knows what she is talking about and takes you through the whole routine with a strong amount of education and insight.

I could do without Shannon, she's a bit wooden for me. And I like Al being in there. I think it's good to have someone from outside the gymnastics world to ask questions that non-gymnastics fans would want to know about. He sort of bridges that gap. My dream team would be Al, Bart and Amanda.

+Dennis G That is a good point. Al has always been my favorite of the three, including when Elfi was there. The sad thing is I think I actually prefer Elfi over Nastia. I think we can all agree to at least get rid of Tim and Nastia and move in Amanda and Bart!

I actually never minded Elfi. I definitely prefer her over Nastia's bland, useless commentary. I'm not even going to lie... I'm in the small minority that actually sort of likes Tim lol. But I'd be totally down for Bart, Amanda and Al.

I think I start understanding why she crosses her legs on the twists. I believe it's because she feels as she is in the air or takes off that she hasn't got quiet the height or speed to complete the twist completely and safely. So it's not lack of form due to work but clever thinking. She is beautiful. I love her gymnastics. And wtf weakest event beam...

Yeah, it might be her way of protecting herself, but it's still sloppy. She is aware of this and reportedly is going to work on it. Beam was her weakest event, at least after her injury. It was the event she was the least consistent on. Musty was capable of a high level of difficulty but her routines were wobble after uncertain wobble. However, after winning the title last year, her beam has become confident and solid, so it no longer is a weakness. It's so nice to see her back.

She seemed pretty underscored during this Worlds. Her form on twisting elements was probably at its worst here and her landings weren't as sharp as usual. But her beam was still very clean and only got a 14.1 which seems very low. She also upgraded her floor and scored lower than usual.. Just seems off.

Her biggest thing on beam was some missteps (double turn was a major one), step on dismount, small misstep on ring leap, and I’m not sure they gave her the connection between the Onodi to split half. In beam final she got all of that- and it’s why she won.

They are pointing out FACTS. Rebecca Andrade has had THEEE acl surgeries, and her form is gorgeous- not sloppy like that. Get over yourself.

Her form is a mess on her twisting, but her double saltos, bars and beam are exquisite

Nastia was just beginning her work as a commentator. She's still kind of annoying, but she's getting better. Tim Dagget is ridiculous, but he's really knowledgable. Still best to watch on mute tho.

This is late, but she won the Birmingham world cup in 2019, the world cups aren't as difficult as the world championships, but they were very important in the 2017-21 quad. Plus she beat an American in AA 2 years after giving birth
