Milan didnt write a contract with EA as far as I know. FIFA writes a contract, but I doubt they can actually sell the rights of the players

I suspect you are right. A lot of high profile players have a clause in their contract that they get a % of the player image rights money and the club gets the rest. So if the club has a contractual agreement with these organisations then the organisations can sell these rights to EA and the money flows to the organisation, then the clubs, then the players % if agreed in their contract.

Image rights which they probably don’t know they have, are sold or owned to by the club so when fifa get involved, they needn’t ask player permission but try to jazz it up with ‘player rating cards’ an lots of smiles.

Erm no you are wrong. He bagged Jesse some huge deals like the "dancing like a prick" advert for JBL speakers. And who can forget the "dancing like a prick" advert he did for Muller Kidz yoghurts. And don't tell me you weren't aware of his "dancing like a prick" fifa 20 promo spots he did for the Thailand and Cambodia markets? Mino very much cornered the "dancing like a prick" market for J-Lingz to exploit. He made upwards of 50 grand from all that work. Plus Jesse got to dance, which we all know he loves. Imagine rights are a big deal in the entertainment/sports industry. Most clubs don’t buy the imagine rights to their players without negotiating a percentage cut. EA/FIFA the Clubs don’t own most of these footballers Image rights, and if they do it’s not in its entirety which is always negotiated through the club unless it’s a free Agent. Because of this Raiola and Co. know they have the upper hand because they have the legal high ground. It’s possible for all these players who have percentage cuts or who own their own Image rights to sue EA/FIFA for everything they got. It’s Akin to if Juventus pulled their team from EA and then EA just decide to have Juventus, no it’s now Piemonte Calcio due to licensing, which is what these players could be potentially fighting for.

Always happy to see anybody taking it up with EA

That’s was the days on the PlayStation 2 2000 - 2007 pro was king even though it did not have the club rights it was always a better game even though It did not have the club name rights but since PlayStation 3 came out it’s just fallen behind compared to fifa sadly

The players do get paid just indirectly. The clubs get money for their players, logo, name, and kits being in the game. This gives teams more money for transfers and player wages. The money ultimately trickles back to the players through their highly inflated wages.

See if this conversation wasn’t about FIFA and EA, I would completely agree with Simon. But being an older guy Simon probably doesn’t realise that FIFA try to milk money out of everyday people, which is even worse than Raiola milking mega rich companies and football clubs of money. If Simon knew that FIFA was charging kids and teenagers so much money over digital footballers and ruining their game doing it he probably wouldn’t care about this topic so much

Milan own the rights to Zlatan face and name and EA has contracts with clubs to use the players name and like ness the reason Juve arent in the game is because they wasnt able to come to terms with The club over the badge but the players still stand the reason Beckham gets paid and I assume like all icon cards is because they are no longer contracted to a club so they need to make the deals themselves
