There are questions on the origins and usage of the Mathhab. While the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him was alive, ppl could ask him what they needed to know from 13 Bh to 11 Ah when he passed away. By that time Arabian Peninsula was united minus Iraq. Then Abu Bakr ruled from 11H - 13 H, the sahabas with Abu Bakr would be the final say. Abu Bakr acquired Iraq and ruled the whole Arabia Peninsula. Umar then ruled from 13 H. - 23 H. They are advancing in Syria etc. If there are questions they still ask companions like Khalid etc. but the final authority was Umar. Then he was shahid. Uthman was Calipha from 23 H. - 35 H, Islam spread to Egypt, lower Turkey, Iran, Oman etc. Ibn Masud was in Kufa, Ibn Abbas is in Bagdad, Muadh ibn Jabal Belal in Dimashq, Amr bin Aas in Egypt. They may ask about a new kind of meat to the companions. Companions would remind each other of hadiths they missed. Ibn Abbas told Ali the forbiddance of taking out with Nar. Abu Bakr knew hadith of Prophets are buried where they die, Aisha knew many hadith as well. Ali ruled from 35 H. to 40 H. Sadly a split with Muwaiyah. 10 : 15 - Zubayr was in Mecca. Anas ibn Malik was the las well known Sahaba, he was from 10 BH - 93 AH. Students of Sahabas would follow the hadiths that they learned from them and as stated no 1 Sahaba knew all the hadith but they all believed in following the hadith when it reaches them. so the Quran and hadith is the final authority. they were all Athari... they rejected Mutakalamin. in Aqida 4 mathhabs were same. but differred in fiqh. first Calipha Hq was Medina, later it became Bagdad with Ali and Damascus. The Sahabas spread the knowledge so it was time to collect it. Medina developed great imams like Zuhri and Nafi and they began a school ahlul Hadith! a student of Zuhri and Nafi was Imam Malik ibn anas, born 95 H. d. 179 H. 20 :30 - Mathhab in Iraq started by Abu Hanifa b. 80 H. d. 150 h. He saw a few sahaba, and took hadih from their students like Shuba. both Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik said whenever a hadith is sahih it's my mathhab. His 2 companion/students were Abu Yusef al Qadi and Muhammad Shaybani. Imam Malik wrote Muwatta imam Malik, Muhammad Shaybana added to that book. don't have books attributed to Abu Hanifah, Fiqh Akbar and Awsad attributed to him, musnad Abu Hanifah was collected by his students. He is developing usul. Imam Shafi was born in Gaza and studied under students of Abu Hanifah and Imam Malik. Born 150 H. and d 204 H. ( Bayhaqi says hes from ahlul bait) He studies with Mathhab imam's students and knows there usual and studied with opinion and ra'i and puts it together in first usul al Fiqh. Ibn Mubarak and Naqi'i had there own usul. In Dimishq Awza'i was born 88H. d. 157 H. He had Mathhab. Imam shafi wrote Ar Risala fi Usul al Fiqh. His fiqh book is al Umm. 30 :00 - So this formed the Shafii Mathhab, and they all worked together. Imam Shafi had a student named Imam Ahmad b 164 H d. 241 H. He got fiqh from Awza'ees, Hanafi and Maliki's fiqh as well and an imam of Jar wa tadil. Musnad Ahmad had 40k unique hadith, and memorized million hadith with the different chains. He goes to sham, Yemen to meet Abdur Razzaq Samaani. DAwud Zahiri b 201 H d 270 H. Fiqh is dependent on hadith. Bhukari b 194 H. and d. 256 H. His work Sahih Bhukari is the most stringently checked, a student of imam Ahmad. His students are the usul Sittah. Imam Muslim Abul Husayn born 206H. d. 261H. Imam Ahmad Nasai b. 214H. d. 303H. Solomon Abu Dawud is a student of imam Ahmad and collected his fiqh, b 202 H. d. 275 H. 40 :00 - Abu Isa Muhammad Tirmidhi b. 209 H. d. 279 H., student of bhukari. ibn Majah in Khazwin, b. 209 H. d. 273 h. What is fard is to follow Quran and sunnah in context. if you can't even know the context... then go to a scholar... and don't say you belong to a mathhab when you don't know what it is. Mathhab means path, goal is Sunnah... thats what every mathhab taught, students of Abu Hanifa rejected what he said alot. 50 :00 - Imam Shafi was student of Imam Malik but had his own mathhab sticking to the stronger mathhab, same with Imam Ahmad being a student of Imam Shafii.

We ask Ahlul thikr in Q 21 :7 but intentional taqlid against evidence ties to shirk in Quran 9 :31 & clear ilm ties to Tawhid in Quran 12 :108. Sunna is the middle path!

All 4 mathhabs taught unity on evidence per Quran, not blind division! 1) Abu Hanifah : "It is prohibited (23) for one who does not know my evidence to give verdicts (24) on the basis of my words." 2) Imam Malik : look into my opinions: all that agrees with the Book & Sunna, accept it; and all that does not agree with the Book and the Sunnah, ignore it." 3) Imam Shafi : "Muslims are unanimously agreed if a sunna is made clear to someone, it is not permitted (33) for him to leave it for the saying of anyone." 4) Imam Ahmad : "The opinion of Awzaa'i, Maalik, of Abu Haneefah: all of it is equal in my eyes. However, the proof is in the narrations (in the sunnah)." This is from the beautiful work of Sheikh Albani's Prophet prayer... *When we say Muhammadur Rasulalah it means our isnad ends with Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him whenever able!*

Mashyallah, I reverted to islam in 1991. very clear, easy explanation. I never understood the different madhabs before till now. Shukran, may the peace & blessings of Allah be upon you all your family & friends.

A REAL WAKE UP CALL FOR PE0PLE WHO ARE RELYING ON PEERS As we know the most pious person of Allah's was the Prophet P.B.U.H & even he said to his daughter 👉🏻 l can not save you from hell ( Saḥīḥ Muslim 205 ) ( Yet people are relying on other pious people to save them 🤔) Intercession will only be allowed for those people who Allah feels are deserving of it That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word (Quran 20 : 109) (This means if Allah does not think we are worthy of paradise intercession will not take place for us and it also proves a peer will be of no use to us if Allah has decided we are entering Hell)

İt's also happening in pretty much any other countries , here in Indonesia the conservatives are majorly blindly following the Shafi'i Madzhab (despite the fact that they don't fully implement it)
