I have been to the Wieliczka salt mine during my Erasmus project and it was an incredible experience, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, especially the underground chapel, stunning and the funny moments I had when going down the 300 and more steps(I thought they were never going to end hahaha)I and when taking the lift back to the top (there was no light). You both are amazing, this vlog is awesome, and it has brought to my mind a lot memories, of these wonderful journey I have had with my friends, thank you and there is still more to see!!! like in Rzeszów there are underground tunnels that were used during the periods of war, for protection and etc, but I don't want to say much enjoy and have fun, Poland is wonderful ❤️😊

I live in Wieliczka my whole life, so I could see how Salt Mine was changing. Few years ago it wasn't that safe and also there were more places where we could go. Of course it also works in opposit way - there are so many new things! Glad to see that people from other countries could fall in love with this stunning place as much as we did :D

Guys, try and check out the Tatras, even if for a day, I am sure you will love it. Just avoid the route to Morskie Oko on a Sunday, and probably the Dolina Chocholowska and Koscieliska routes too if you want a less crowded experience :) You can simply hike to one of the shelters for a non-exposed, beautiful hike rewarded by awesome views. No need to climb massive peaks if you don't feel like it :) (and I wouldn't recommend hitting any of the highest peaks if you're not comfortable and don't have proper shoes/equipment)

@Travel With Mansoureh - this one no longer excavates salt (aside converting salty water into it) and some part of it was (small part of it!) converted into sorts of huge museum. Aside Wieliczka, there is plenty of old mines in Poland that public can visit, coal mine in Zabrze, silver mine in Tarnowskie Góry, salt mine in Bochnia and even old Uranium mine in Kletno are only few to mention.

Poland was a very rich country back in the day thanks to the massive amounts of salt in some regions. Salt was very precious as it preserved food.

My son and I were there this last September, it’s amazing. Took us 3 hours to get through it which was really hard for me seeing that I had a fractured hip and surgery a month or so before being there. Our guide said that I shouldn’t go through it because of that. But I’m stubborn and actually finished the whole thing. Would love to go back again.

Thanks for this really informative and helpful insight into this tourist attraction guys! Just two questions- was your private tour expensive and on offer to others or was it especially for you as you are vlogging? And also, did you find the pathways at all slippery, as I am recovering from foot surgery so am wary of slippery paths? Thanks again. Keep these awesome videos coming please! Cheers, Marg
