New DAW file Format? YES!!!

Presonus did an amazing job ! I was flabbergasted with the 6.5 update and all the improvement ! It was my favorite daw for music, but it will probably be my favorite DAW for everything now. I also saw Pianoverse, the first downside for me is the fact that there is no bundle. but it looks amazing and sound really good. Finaly, I don't really have a favorite cinematic piano, but when I do cinematic production I use Arturia piano with other plugin to make it more cinematic. Thanks for the video. Have a great week end. Oh a little question for you. Do you have any recommandation for a production / mixing desk ?

A universal DAW is intriguing. Be sure to include Reaper as one of the DAWS!

For those who want to experiment with the kind of natural reverberation found in, e.g., forests, deserts, etc., there is a free VST plugin called "Outdoorverb". Otherwise, a good convolution reverb will reproduce any indoor space in which an impulse has been recorded.

I use 2 daws, Studio one and Bitwig and i didn't knew about the collaboration, the way i screamed when he said it, i didn't even think i would ever do that!

Thanks as always for the early Saturday pick-me-up! I'm gutted about Moog, and I think the manufacturing move is a VERY bad idea (not least because of what is probably going to happen within the next couple of years), but Moog also was...not business savvy and was frequently in trouble as a result. One critcism: IKM's sea floor preset was completely unconvincing: there was not one hysterical, terrified scream (from me) about sharks.

@sanjay you can got between different DAWS using .AAF which has been around for years.

I don't know if you would call it a cinematic piano, to say, but my goto is Grand Piano in Kontakt... I typically like to using my piano bus and then send that over to Valhalla Shimmer and Delay, via return tracks

My go to piano for cinematic sound is Soniccouture Hammersmith Pro.

I used to use Addictive keys with a few reverb plugins, but now replace AK with Pianoteq.

My favorite piano has been Noire for the longest time now. No only is it a great piano, but it has cool features that I prefer over hammers and waves, even though they're less expressive. How do you feel that Noire would compare with Pianoverse? Finally a worthy piano to switch to?

ExarpOmega, I haven’t tried Noire though I received it with my last Komplete upgrade. I am not a huge fan of some of the other NI pianos, like Maverick and the Gentlemen, but they’re decent. How would you compare Noire to those, if you’ve used them? Thanks.

@@fredmanteghian5913 in my opinion, Noire is vastly superior to the maverick and the gentleman. The Giant and Una corda are also unique pianos (I use Una Corda sometimes), but what sets Noire apart is the particle generator and reverb effects that are similar to Piano Colors and also Hammers and Waves. It's not just the better sounding piano, but it also has a lot of inspirational effects on top of that, that you can tweak to your liking.

Oh a cinematic piano... Im broke so go for free things but heres my usual method: Kontakt The Gentleman came with my Circuit, so i layer that with some of LABS synth style pianos as BG LR layers. usually about 2 actual pianos and 2-3 piano/pads sounds rly nice all sent to a hall verb with a dynamic eq bus boosting the mid and taming the hi-mid. I use that chain abt 80% of my tracks

I faintly remember SSL trying something like the DAW Project around the early 2010s where it would function as a “bridge”. Hopefully this new venture will work. I have to say that the Pianoverse is pretty attractive. QOTW: Still use Arturia’s Piano V. I have also used Roland Fantom X8 (OG 2006) for this aim. There’s a leak that KORG will issue a 49/61 Keystage MIDI controller that will support MIDI 2.0, will offer poly AT (thanks to ASM) and the going price will be 600/700 respectively. GearNews reported on this.

Thanks, Sanjay! It’s no disadvantage when different DAWs work together in the way Studio 1 and Bitwig do! The Pianoverse seems to be a very interesting piece of software!

I use Arturia VPiano3. Im a regular ole Joe, So I got to be frugal with my money. Still watch your videos though.👍

Sanjay have you tried the blueprint electric keys by fracture sounds if not then you should its based on the rhodes mk 1 with the atmosphere layer and reverb of fracture sounds and the best part is its free and if you haven't then you should its just gorgeous

My favourite piano is Addictive Keys on the Ambient preset.. Reason- its a paid piano that us Focusrite/Novation users got for free.. I know you hate it but i think you probably weren't in that same situation as us..

Sharing files as natively as possible across DAWs is a big dream. For that, DAWs would not only need to consider their own implementations of features, but other DAWs as well, include any new features in the format and get it to work with their own DAW to send and receive the new features of that format. A developer's nightmare. How should that even work, when you use VSTs, that are native to the DAW? The other person would need to have the VSTs that you're using. If you're the same person using two DAWs at the same time, you need to get your game together and learn one tool to the fullest.

Knowing IK Multiimedia transaction hell the other environments are just more microtransactions to bleed you dry, I'm surprised they don't have a price per piano string with a subscription model

I was hoping IK would make Modo Piano. Sampled piano is a saturated vst instrument.

protools will be the last to implement the new DAW format and once they implement it they'll say it is a game changer .

Good morning Sanjay. A universal file system would be great, but Im a bit skeptical. You need to have bigger players such as Ableton, Pro Tools, etc. get on board first, then there's a chance. Until then...nnot happening.

Pianoverse sounds rather like Arturia's Aug Piano and the Westwood piano(s) engine combined.

Pianoverse... meh. So over done with all effects. It doesn't sound like instrument is placed in special space, only highly processed. From the demo I can see its nothing you can't achieve with ANY piano sound library + effects. For piano - only Pianoteq.
