Great video! I didn't know that Iwagumi style was so strict. You neglected to include the "Coloured gravel with pink castle and plastic ornaments" aquascape.

The nature style will always be a wonderful classic!
I found this video incredibly helpful when beginning this hobby. I grew up in Japan, so it's awesome to see the world I grew up with expressed in aquascaping. I have three tanks! I'll make one of each, please🙋♀

I'm glad the video helped! Japanese aquascapes will always be amazing! I hope those three tanks turn out amazing!!! 😊
This was amazing. Well thought out and explained. I knew it could be formal and with many rules .. I know I just love planted tanks with hardscapes.

Excellent video and well explained, Justin! My favorite is the Dutch scape for aesthetics. I have a tank I call a "pseudo-dutch": one, because there are 2 rocks in it, and two, because there are psedomugils in it 😋😅. It's a constant work in progress but I really enjoy the gardening of it. ✂️✂️✂️ Hope you're having a nice weekend so far! 🙂👍

Good summary of the styles. However, please consider the etiquette of crediting others’ photos or at least the source when using them in your video. I spotted at least three of my aquascapes.

Super sorry about that... It completely passed my mind when I was making it. While some of the footage/pictures are indeed mine (you can probably tell which ones lol), I understand that does not give me the excuse of not crediting others when necessary. I'll definitely try to keep that in mind moving forward. I hope you (and others) accept my apology on this mistake, as you're one of the main people that inspired me to go forward with aquascaping and making a KZread channel. Do you know which ones are yours? I'd like to give credit in the description. It's the least I can do.
I like wabi sabi
bro, i was surprised to see your viewer count considering your production quality, you should have at least 10-20k subs! well, you got mine at least. currently trying to decide what to scape in this 100 gallon tank I got used off FB marketplace. I'm thinking riverscape since it's 5 feet long and I like driftwood and nanofish. Going to dump my cardinal and rummy nose tetras from my 40 gal along with a few harlequin rasboras I still have and the emerald and panda corys and expand their numbers. Maybe add some kuhli loaches and another species of schooling fish, not sure yet.

A 5-foot-long tank is quite something! That new tank build sounds like it's going to be a stunning tank! Also, I appreciate the kind words regarding view count! Although, I personally think this video's production quality in terms of editing is not the best compared to my newer videos. But, I digress, thanks for the kind words! 😊
