The mesh is drywall mesh tape, and it's a great inexpensive texture tool (about $5 per roll). The resulting image is fantastic -- the lines were definitely the finishing touch! Thank you for sharing this.

I LOVE everything about this and I love how we all might interpret it differently! I kept seeing a Frank Lloyd Wright home then when you set the mat on it at the end, it took my thoughts in a different direction! It’s wonderful how each mark, element etc can have such an effect on what we see! 💛🖤🤍

Oh thank you!😍 I’m really bad about cleaning them. When I do clean them I soak them in soapy water. Also a quick spritz of hand sanitizer then wipe them off works pretty well. 😍
Once you used the distress glaze, you need to take the stencil off so the spray can get to the paper between the dots.
