“No more basting” yessss. I hate the spray, and I always get puckers on the back with pins.

I have my frame in low position, but it is harder to see the batting. Is there a trick to ensure that when in low position my batting stays straight? I am struggling with this a lot. I wish there was a batting bar. Also would it be better to float my quilt top? I

I'm so hopeful that this might be the answer for me! Most of my quilts are queen size "sampler" quilts made of 12" blocks. Can you get to the very top and bottom of a 12" block in this throat space?

I saw a quilt shop called MK Quilts on KZread demonstrating the Moxie and they said it has a reach of 11" which is such a bummer when so many block patterns are 12". Maybe it's possible but I would look carefully into its reach before buying.

So I bought a moxie, and I also am getting the the two foot extension. I order the quilt from the back kit. Will the extension kit fit with in the table to 10 foot space

Hello! Yes, I bought the extension kit and it came with the table top. Now all I have to do it buy the rest of the quilt from the back. LOL! Enjoy. Let me know how you do with this machine. My first longarm and loving it. I do find that the needle struggles going into any quilt top that has a lot of seams....which isn't good because most quilts have seams. My log cabin quilt was a bear to work on. The needle didn't go down at all at most of the seam areas.

@@helenburke5267 the table top is to you can use pantographs. It is on the backside of the frame. Pantographs are either rolls of paper with continuous printed patterns on them or you can buy soft plastic pantographs. Then there is a lazer and handle bars that are attached to the back so you can follow the patterns. I hope this answered your question.

I love my moxie, but we really need a better channel lock option for it. Now that I've had my moxie almost 2 years, I still can't stand using the little plastic rings as my channel locks. I cannot justify spending an additional $5K on prostitcher lite, since I quilt only for charity and myself, but I could probably save up enough for something like electromagnetic channel lock system (if it's under $1K) or, even better, just a manual lever system like Grace Co. puts on their carriages for manual channel locks. The little rings are just too fiddly and awkward to use repeatedly like you would if you wanted to do matchstick quilting. I would prefer to stick with HQ, but if they are never going to make that an option I guess I will have talk to Grace Co. about finding a way to use my moxie on one of their frames and carriages with the manual lever system.
