Longarm Quilting with Jade Rulers - Watch & Learn with Handi Quilter
Join Handi Quilter educators Kim and Kristina as they show us how to design intricate patterns and shapes on a longarm quilting machine with Jade Rulers!
Remember, when using rulers on your machine there are a couple of tips to keep in mind:
1. Use a Sure Foot for safety.
2. Use a Ruler Base for stability.
3. Use Handi Grip for accuracy.

I'm new to longarming and have never used rules. I couldn't hear Christina, and couldn't see what was going on with the light thread on white fabric. Also showing the difference in the feet would have been beneficial.
Thanks ladies for showing the new rulers. I just bought a couple of rulers and been playing with them love it.Not very good at the curved or wavy rulers will keep up with the practice.Love the 12 inch straight ruler done lots of different designs really enjoyed it.Only new to longarm quilting enjoying it not very good at it but i will get there.
Great idea to use the rulers for other then what they were designed for. Very creative.
Thanks, ladies. Really enjoy your videos!
Great video and this girl is great at optimizing the use of rules to create amazing designs. Top
Great video! Thank you ladies!
I wish I could have heard Kristina’s when she was explaining how to use the rulers. I tried turning up my volume to hear her but when Kim’s spoke, it was overwhelming. Obviously, Kristine’s microphone wasn’t on or working properly. These rulers are very similar to the Westalee ruler set I purchased a few years ago. I did enjoy seeing her demonstrate the rulers and all the designs she created.

Hi Rebecca. We realized this after the fact. So sorry. Thank you for watching.
I so very much appreciate your friendly interactions and easy explanations of how to use rulers 😃 Speaking of safety, beautiful long hair should be put up away from the machine potentially ripping it out!

Thank you Carol.
Would love to see ruler demos for stationary machines.
where do you find the set on the web site for 6 rulers plus crosshair ruler
Can these rulers and techniques be used with Capri stationary machine? Specifically the tack at the center point
Next time could we have camera angles so we can see what is going on at all times. Also whose idea was it to use a white fabric to stitch on? The rulers and stitching are much harder to see.

Maureen Taphouse I agree with every point you make. I got so frustrated with the lack of camera views, I gave up watching this video.

Love this video. There is product I use for pin basting that is made to cover the end of a pin: 1) so it doesn’t fall out, and 2) so you don’t stick yourself. Pin Moors are the notion I am talking about. I buy mine on Amazon. Check them out!

Great tip!
A shame you didn't check batteries in both mics before you started - or that they were both turned on. Also a shame that this video has not been edited properly or you would have noticed and given an explanation about it. The demo, however, was good and I love the new rulers but I would really have liked to hear the teacher, Kristina.
What is the pattern of the quilt in the wall. It’s gorgeous!’

Hi Jean. That's a sampler quilt that Kristina put together. There isn't a pattern.

How do I buy the rulers
@HandiQuilter
Жыл бұрын
You can purchase our rulers at www.handiquilter.com . Not all rulers are still available as some have been discontinued.
What happened to these rulers? I cannot find them for sale at any store or website. It's bizarre!

They have been discontinued. Sorry!
What does your apron say? Can I get one

Their aprons say: "i like big Bobbins and I cannot lie." They are available through your local retailer. Or, we do giveaways on Facebook each week.
No audio on this video.
This was great but they need to give Christina a microphone. So hard to hear her while Kim was loud and clear. 😉
What about if I am using the Sweet 16?

The rulers will also work on a Sweet 16. I'm waiting on my Amara to arrive but have used rulers on my domestic machine with great success

@@HandiQuilter How about doing more demonstrations for Sweet 16! You only show long arms. Using the Sweet Sixteen requires additional skill. Ask me how I know?
I agree the sound was not balanced between the two. Kim was very loud and Kristina was hard to hear. Unfortunately seeing the rulers and the designs on the back of the packaging was very hard to see with the reflection of the lights on the plastic sleeve packaging. Showing the rulers on a dark fabric would be so helpful Thanks for the demo and and appreciate the work that goes into doing it.

Thanks for the feedback Cathy. We'll do better next time.
Couldn’t hear Christina speak! Other then that was a good video!
I have a Sweet Sixteen. I must say I am disappointed at the limited number of videos for this machine. As far as I am concerned , it takes more skill when you have to move the quilt .

Can't hear the woman giving the information! Too bad, would have been a great video!

Sorry Kelley. We'll do better next time.
Really it’s not a video on how to use the rulers. It’s more of a video trying to sell handy cool to rulers
Too much talking going on and not enough actually showing how to use the rulers.
too much unnecessary chatter.
