Yeah, I got that horizontal mount immediately because a long camera stretched out like that leads to a huge amount of wobble.

You started your KZread career brilliantly and you only get better and better mate. I've just come back from my five week motorbike tour around Europe and have a suggestion for you and your viewers, I placed my 360 camera at an angle, what I mean is, I don't have the lens, pointing, directly forwards and backwards, because it collects all the flies, I angle it at 45° From the direction I'm going in and I don't get flies splattering on the lens. One question if I may, I scratched my lens, and wonder whether the lens protectors distort the picture or not

I need to look into getting this camera to use when riding the bike. The wind noise with the diffuser was not bad. I have several gopro cameras and the wind noise is insane.

Maybe you dont use your SmallRig cage, but mine literally saved my bacon (and my X3) when i inadvertently dragged the selfie stick for a hundred yards or so! Well worth the investment. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻

Hello. Firstly, congratulations on your videos! I bought the microphone adapter, but it seems that the camera cannot capture the sound from the recorder very well. I connected the zoom h1n via a p2 cable, but the sound is bad. My friend tried connecting an external DJI microphone and it didn't work either. Do you have any configuration tips to adapt an external recorder and capture the sound of the exhaust?

does the GPS remote come with that little strap? How well does it hold to the bars when riding? I had the original remote which was nice but didn't have very good mounting for a motorcycle at least not my Harley. I broke 2 of them.

Thanks for heads up on link, I bought last friday a x3 and a few other bits you showed in this video. I did have a few problems with link in that the freebies did appear in basket but were removed when I actually placed order. I spoke to support and they added them back in. Hopefully you will still get commission on this.

@@bens5186 After I placed order (luckily I had taken screen shot of shopping cart) I contacted support and they added it on. I now have another issue the care package automatically activated before I received camera. I was not going to activate camera and care for about a month.

Have you tried the moto Bundle with the selfie stick extended about 2 ft? And have you tried it not vertical, but horizontal? I am loooking for a mount for my bicycle, and have not being able to find one that holds the weight of the camera + the stick with the vibration and movement. thanks

Hi, may I ask which microphone you use inside the helmet? Seems that there currently is no rainproof possiblility to use an external microphone (with or without cable). I miss a direct bluethooth micro to connect directly to the camera. The Rode equipment means to break water resistance and has lots of volume araund the camera.

Hey ! Thank you for this interesting video. I just bought a purple panda mic kit but the sound captured is so low. Even with +6dB gain. I have an insta360 x3. Have you done any EQ modification in post prod ? I was planning to use it for pure sound capture hiding the mic from wind noises. I still need to test with the bike but the test with my voice and music were horrible 🙁 I tried rebooting, connecting mic during record, etc Any tips ?

I have some doubts regarding the horizontal mount. When I record in horizontal format (16:9), can I edit the video on the app to also make it vertical? Additionally, if I record in single-lens mode, can I still edit the video into a vertical format later?

What chin mount are you using for the helmet?

One question about gps remote control: seams that it can connect to only one insta360, right? Would be fine to switch between at least 2 cameras during driving on the bike. What would you say?

When using the wind muff. Do you do anything with settings or in post? The audio sounded pretty clean. On mine with the muffs the wind is still overpowering past a certain speed.

I don’t. Wind noise depends on the angle of the camera or the wind direction too. It’s a little hit and miss but I find it helps to reduce wind noise regardless

You sort of answered the question yourself, dual lens isn't always needed, however there are other reasons. A lot of single lens cameras don't have a super wide viewing angles, so you can run it in 360 and loop mode and it works as a dash cam, but captures a much wider view that other cameras. The reason you might use a chin mount specifically is a combination camera angle, comfort and general aerodynamics. I have 3 mounts on my helmet. A chin, top of the helmet, and one on the side. If I'm going fast the top mount gets pulled in the wind more than the others, it also can get caught in low hanging branches if I'm trail riding, so it only gets used for intentionally scenic shots. The side mount is something I use for balance if I have a light mounted as well. My chin mount is my go to during most riding because it's the best at giving my POV as well as capturing decent side angles, which makes the edited cut a bit smoother. I prefer to have a smooth POV shot most of the time, but occasionally I'll use a stick mount and get some scenic shots of the area and myself. Chin mounts for many folks are both decent for practicality as well artistic choice.

Dual-purpose. If you're filming a fun trip to make a video to post to social media or to share with friends/family, you can use a 360 camera to get interesting and cool shots. In addition, if you're just going to the grocery store, you can use it as a dash cam. Why buy a second camera when one camera can do both functions?

Im so confused by the 'quick reader' aren't they exactly the same as the ones that are like £8.99 on amazon? Ie its a micro sd card reader that plugs in to your phone or pc?

The mic adapter doesn’t fit with the horizontal mount. If you change sides against the instructions, you have no access to the power or quck settings button.

The invisible tripod stick isn’t very stabile, be ware.

I use a GoPro Hero 8 and GoPro Max 360, the wind noise on these is terrible. Even the wind noise remover in my editing program can't handle it. One question though. If we use your affiliate link to buy a camera and have trouble with it how do we go about sending it back for warranty etc? Keep up the great work

Tripod falls apart, not worth

DO NOT BUY the idiot gps remote if you own a one R. It is completely USELESS. It pairs fine and wakes up the camera and gets stuck at "awakening camera" after it wakes up the camera. Then it goes into "camera disconnected". Tried multiple solutions but nothing works. I regret buying the remote and have to control the camera manually. Amazing hardware and video quality let down by the USELESS remote. Users have reported the same issues for X3 as well.

The audio in this video is way too quiet. Right click on this video and select “Stats for Nerds”. From there, you will see that KZread measures the video as 9.7 dB too quiet. That number should be close to 0.0 dB. I’d love to remain a subscriber, but if your videos are too quiet to properly hear I have no interest in putting up with the low quality content. If you want your videos to be acceptable, you need to fix this problem with the audio. I’m one video away from unsubscribing.
