you should name it old blue. My grandfather had a 1996 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado and the family named it old blue then it was passed down to my cousin and the trans blew so now it just sit at my aunts house. Keep up the great work

For what it's worth, the way the doors are closing at that age is rare! These trucks are notorious for heavy front doors that start to sag over-time, so a nice smooth close on that truck is a great find!

When checking ball joints jack under the lower control arm because the spring should be under a load. Or in this case torsion bar

I go a bit deeper and put in a new battery, radiator/coolant flush and new t-stat, and fuel filter change. Especially if I have no service records. If the original fuel pump hasn't been changed at that mileage I'd be looking at getting that done soon and have the transmission fluid and filter changed sometime. Belts and hoses I inspect also.

You are forgetting sparkplugs/wires/ distributors/ or coil packs. It’s a must do on used cars

I’ve got 37s on my 97 k1500 with a level Minnesota rot box life🙃 if they don’t fit when you initially put them on, they’ll self clearance😂
