One time in university, exams happened to be during Ramadan, I lived 100km away from university and I had to go there everyday and come back home in the afternoon and study for the next exam , all that during the hot summer, and believe me , I haven't been so excited and motivated to study for the exams as I was that time , and i performed excellently, I think it was the blessing of the holy month

The best time of year, Mashallah!

Ramadan means : 1) getting closer to god and increasing your spirituality , aka praying ,studying the quran , and just connecting with god . 2) self discipline and having control over your desires instead of having your desires control you , since we cut out from dawn to sunset food water and sexual intercourse , we learn how to be in control of our desires more and be able to have full control of our behavior in a moderate way. 3) feeling what the poor feels on a daily basis , this makes you grateful for the food and water you have , and learn that no matter how much you own we're still weak humans we shouldn't let the stuff that we have get to our heads 4)it's been proven scientifically to be have a detoxing affect on the body by eliminating cells that have the potential to become cancerous and this doesn't happen unless you give your body a break from food and water this research was done by a japanese doctor and he won the nobel prize for it . 5) it's also celebrating the month when the quran was revealed to the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him and it's an occasion to avoid being angry or curse or talk behind people's backs to the point where even those who do drugs and smoke, stop doing that for the month ps: those who are not required to fast are : breastfeeding , pregnant women , girls during their periods, old people , children , those who are sick or travelling

in ramadan u gotta be patient as in like ur in a test yk , and to be more conscious that allah is watching u wherever u go , and to get closer to allah :)

Isn't this channel that the people think low of halal and haram?

It seems good that a person fasts because people in the world of starving in other countries. But, how is fasting yourself in Ramadan helping starving people. I do not see a spiritual awakening from not eating or drinking long hours. Spiritual awakening is learning the texts and studying them. Its not just going to the mosque to pray and starving yourself from food and drink certain hours. Fasting has to have a purpose, there must be intentions, but fasting is actually supposed to benefit different people and not just the person fasting. Most Muslims do not read the Quran, this is why they just say the bible is a corrupt word of God. The Quran does not say this, it supports the bible, and Islam even borrows the stories from the bible.

Ramadan is a flawed concept. How about the people residing in either poles of Earth.. observe it. You know 6 months days and other nights. Didn't the creator have no idea about his own creation to bring in this flawed concept?

God doesn't make it hard so they can fast for 16 or 19 hours, but they should ask a scholar
