The entire compound

The whole compound is known as Masjid Al Aqua, but the bottom building is the actual masjid building itself. But the whole compound can be prayed in, like you can pray in all areas of the compound giving the whole area the title “Masjid Al Aqsa”. I seek forgiveness from my Lord if I have made a mistake.

There are several masajid in the compound. From masjid al Qibly to Baab Ar Rahmah to Masjid Al Buraq. In Ramadan when I visited, we prayed in the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat as Sakhrah).

MashaAllah It is really disheartening to see many Muslim don’t know the entire Al Aqsa. You did a great job to educate people. May this knowledge reach more Muslims.

I think the confusion here is that the bottom one with the grey dome is where people have been performing congregational prayers since the capture of the city and the original construction of that building by Hadrat Umar RA, and so functions as a masjid in its complete sense unlike the Dome of the Rock.

Please clarify some things for me; *where did the prophet ﷺ ascend from the heaven? *Which mosque was first qibla for Muslims? *which mosque did rasulallah ﷺ lead all other prophets in prayer?Was is golden dome or masjid al qibly? *Are masjid al qibly also called masjid al aqsa? Are both term used interchangeably?
