Muskellunge from the Michigan DNR rearing program.

Ойын-сауық

Each year the Michigan DNR catches adult muskellunge in Lake St. Clair. They take the eggs, fertilize them and then raise them in a hatchery.
When the hatchlings get bigger they are moved to outdoor ponds. When it's time to release them in the fall, the ponds are drained. Sometimes the young fish get trapped in the grasses and the DNR staff walk the whole site to make sure none are left behind. The young muskellunge are transported by truck and released back into open water!
Big thanks to the Michigan DNR!
We LOVE muskie!!!
