We agree! Having edited stuff like this, the workflow is pretty intense but very rewarding.
Last Summer ('22) I was blessed to go fishing in Kenai with my father who has dementia and Alzheimer's. It turned out to be perfect timing as his health has taken a turn and he would no longer be able to physically do that trip again. Fishing in Alaska was never on my bucket list but something changed in me that trip. Not only will I cherish the memories made there with my father, but I loved it so much that I was able to convince 3 buddies of mine to book a week-long trip for the Summer of '24. Watching this video didn't just make me miss Alaska, it made my heart ache for it. I can't wait to go back.

Not long left to wait now my friend. My father passed shortly after our last fishing trip. He stands beside me in spirit every time I cast. Sending well wishes from England. Alaska is too a dream of mine. One day I'm sure of it.

As a physician, a fly fisher and a pilot I can say Dr. Bob has absolutely nailed it! I can think of nothing better than flying a Beaver out to a beautiful lake and throwing a streamer for whatever will bite.
"500 S&W in my tackle bag. That's for anyone that misses a fish" lmfao great video guys, such high quality filming and editing makes for amazing production.
As always, an incredible film. Way to bring it home guys
Thanks for all the love on the film so far! For those asking, the poem at the end is “The Spell of the Yukon” by Robert Service. Cheers!

Your channel is one of my absolute favorites. You knock it out of the park, every single time. Storytelling is moving, cinematography is stellar, color grading is clean and crisp, and the people bring such life to each video. Please, keep it up.
No other youtube channel leaves me so sad that the video is over when it is, awesome work as usual!
I had tears coming to my eyes watching this as I was in Alaska when 9/11 happened and it all comes back to you there is no place like it on the planet it’s just magical and when I was there we caught plenty of fish all kinds and met really nice people who I still keep in touch with and I feel watching this that I would love to come back with my son and let him see what it’s all about ,don’t get me wrong it’s a long haul for us coming from Scotland but it’s worth it so peace to all you guys for 2023 and tight lines 👍🎣🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸❤️
That guide Bob, has got to be one of the nicest and coolest guides I've seen! What a gem to be able to go out with
Goosebumps at the end of the poem!!!
Man, I miss Alaska. Lived up there for 12 years and it was the only place I truly felt at home. Maybe someday I'll go back and live the rest of my days there.

One of the best I’ve seen you guys do, and a refreshing reminder of why I myself need to make it back to that amazingly wild place. Thanks for taking us along!
Just got back from a week at All Alaska Outdoors with Dr. Bob and team. I was inspired by this video and booked our trip last November. It was even better than we imagined. The fishing, lodging, accommodations, scenery, local restaurants and the flying excursions were all over the top. By far, the best fly fishing trip we’ve ever experienced. Thanks Dr. Bob and the Wild Fly team for the inspiration.
That is one of the most Soul-stirring video productions I have ever seen! God bless you boys.
The landscape around there is unbelievable! Such a great video with an awesome story, great job as always!!

The poem was a perfect conclusion to this epic film!
I was fortunate enough to get to go this summer, and you guys did a beautiful job portraying this wonderful place! Thank you!
I know im late to this video... but I ate it up. This brought so much life to my soul... I lost my dad just this past April and we were planning a fly fishing trip together that we never got to take. Joes poem had me balling.. thank you for this. I hope to one day visit Alaska and do this trip in honor of my dad.
Great job guys! You captured so much of why I go every June to All Alaska Outdoors.
My first Alaska trip was for artic warfare school during my years in the 82nd Airborne and also my next vacation the following summer. Very special place with memories I won't forget. Great video and thanks for sharing your experiences.
Another amazing trip and this is on my bucket list to take my son. The thing I love about your videos is it’s not just about fishing but it’s a combination of enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. I used to look forward to the numbers of fish I hoped to catch and now it’s about the adventure, being with friends and family, and most of all enjoying what life has to offer us. Thank you!
Hands down, one of my favorite videos you've done!

Whenever I‘m having a rough time I’m watching one of your insanely good videos. The way you present us the most beautiful places and nature while we can witness you and your friends having a fantastic time always makes me happy and anxious to experience that myself. Highly appreciated, many thanks!
I have been watching your videos for quit a while now. I'm not much for commenting but after this one I felt a need to say something. It is amazing how you have improved over the years. A Week of Fly Fishing in Alaska is just wonderful! Beautiful! You have become a master story teller. Can it get any better? I have no doubt. I feel blessed for having found your adventures. Thanks!

Amazing film. You guys have inspired me more than I can say. From a kid who fly fished a little growing up in the Adirondack mountains now in NC. I’m moving out west and plan on living the dream on the rivers. Thanks for everything y’all do. I’ve learned a lot watching you over the years and can’t wait for next one. Tight lines

You guys have inspired me to start fly fishing up here in Michigan. I got my great grandfathers old hand built fly rod mounted and just ordered a redington to get started. So thank you. My whole family loves watching your videos even my 5 month old son! So thank you
I am a Brit who has visited Alaska 3 times for fishing trips over the last 8 years and actually stayed at a lodge not far from Soldotna one time. This amazing video has just motivated me to start saving for my 4th trip. The lodge is on my list!
This is your best work yet. Thanks for your sacrifice and all the things that you have to do behind the scenes to bring us these great films. Keeping pushing onward and upward. Your work has already come so far. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
Amazing scenery and experiences. Your productions have a sense of inclusion that pulls me in with each video and makes it feel like I'm right there with y'all. Keep 'em comin'!!
I just started fly fishing this past month. I stumbled on this video, arguably the best outdoor video I have ever seen. I was glued to the end. Beautifully done. That’s amazing fellas. Wow.
Thank you guys! Thank you so much! 🤝🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻🎣🎶🏞️🛩️🦌
The best 48minutes of my Sunday! Well done fellas and thanks for sharing this epic adventure!!
You guys make amazing videos and this one is a step up even for the high bar here. The ruggedness, the landscapes, the outdoors, the people, absolutely stunning!! Exceptional capture of a great adventure!
This film is the most enthralling, stunning and emotive that every fisherman should watch…….over and over again. Thank you for sharing
Unmatched quality. That video was stunningly beautiful and Bob's poem brought me to tears. I hope to one day be able to experience fishing in such a magical place. Thank you for always bringing us along!
This content shouldn't be free; this is absolutely unreal work by all of you involved. Love it. Lived in Alaska for two years; I'd love to get back! Cheers fellas.
Y’all are too good at making these videos, makes the viewer feel like we’re there with you. Hello and glad you’re doing well from back here in NC
Was just in Alaska this past July as well fishing on the peninsula. there is nothing quite like the fly fishing experience on planet earth. You guys are the best.
Yes thank you guys for the videos, my absolute favorite to watch! Thanks for all your hard work putting them together!
Lack the words to describe this masterpiece. You guys are incredible.
How are the boys not at 100k subs yet?? Y'all have been killing it this year and are always getting played and shared by my crew before we go on our own mini adventures. Keep up the great work!
This video made me emotional. The poem couldn't describe the inner feelings I get in these places any better! Thank you
For me it's been a while since viewing this channel. I remember when you started this channel, fishing with your dad in the Smokie mountains, I followed you on several trips, Wilson creek, The Davidson, Cherokee, and many others. This Alaskan fishing trip was the most amazing footage and great production I've seen in a You Tube Video. Thank you so much for sharing. I am hoping to get to follow you to Alaska, It's on my hit list for sure.
What a great video! You guys keep getting better and better. We all appreciate the hard work you put into all of your videos. Keep up the great work!
Even though it is unlikely I'll ever make a trip like this y'all made such a great production of your trip that I feel like I was there with you!
The natural scenery here is so beautiful
Perhaps the best video you've done and certainly my favorite. Thanks so much for posting. Enjoy how you all live life to the fullest.
Although I'm only two minutes into this video, I just wanted to say I know this is going to be a banger!!!
You guys are unbelievable, love the information and education you get from watching your videos, I'm heading back to Alaska in late August for the Coho run

Thanks folks! I dream of visiting Alaska and you made me experience it at least.a little. Keep on doing what you do!
Fished the Kenai river last year in July, flew in from Louisiana. The purity of the scenery alone is more then enough to get me going back every other year
One word ….. WOW … 😀😀 thank you so much for that amazing video , i watched and enjoyed it like a great movie 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just moved to alaska this week for this exact reason, it’s a giant play ground. So excited for what’s to come. Finishing my commercial pilot license out here this year and flying/hunting and fishing will be what my life is made of.
Awesome poem! Thanks for sharing! Unbelievable country!
Looks like a great trip, Boyz! I just flew with Talon Air this August and had one of the best fishing days of my life! Great group of people up there! Glad you got to experience the Kenai, too. One of the greatest rivers on earth!
a second or third-year spawning male Dolly Varden is my holy grail fish. I know they're not particularly hard to catch, but those colors are lights-out gorgeous.
I come here for the Fly fishing content but leave with so much more. You present your story so well, like a well placed dry.... and I can't help but come up and eat it.
This was one of the best content I’ve ever had the privilege to watch! What a dream location! Pure wild unmatched beauty and amazing fish! Would be a dream come true to visit! Production quality of the filming was top top shelf! Thank you very much guys
Lived there for 7 yrs! Boy do I miss it!
Love the story. Sounds like most stories I've heard over my fifty, almost sixty years of living here and there's my own experience. I commercial fished in Bristol Bay and west Cook Inlet, fly rod on the many rivers in Kodiak while a fox tried to steal my first catch only to find out there was a brown bear in the bushes behind us,, trolling in the southwest waters of Annette Island, fighting off a mother moose on the Kenai peninsula on a canoe trip, confronted by several bears in Katmai (like six or seven} fly fishing in Yakutat while a bear was coming across the river towards us in high grass at Lost River. Yeah, this is good stuff, but its just another day in Alaska. Not to mention the black bear that was just on our two-story deck eating the leftover bird seeds. My cat didn't like it but all is good. Alaska is so much more than a short expose can cover, so I humbly ask forgiveness for seeming to make light of your experience, There are still a lot of "old timers" in Alaska that remember a different time. I encourage you to explore that avenue because I haven't come across anyone that has yet ( I could be wrong) produced a significant account of Alaskan history in the twentieth century. Most of us do not want further attention bringing in more "outsiders" but I am proud of our state and while I don't like what is happening even in our remote location, there are SO many stories that would enthrall readers but that generation is expiring. Go get these stories while you can, otherwise, they might be lost to time,
This docu/show brought my understanding of quality to another level. Masterclass in film.
I got to chase grayling this past summer just south of Denali. The scale of the country out there is hard to explain to someone. You did a great job showing how big the country is out there.
I've watched this video multiple times and I always look forward to that reading of the poem at the end.
That poem…. I’ve spent over 100 days in Alaska, and I still can’t get enough.
Thank you so much guys from the UK.
All I can say is, you are all blessed because you are able to do what you love to do (FISHING) and still carry on with your everyday life. I just can’t do that, I have to work just to make ends meet, no time for fishing/camping etc. and no friends that are helpful. I really envy you fellas. Godspeed 🍻
Such a amazing place! Great video!
Absolutely amazing video guys!! You never let us down with the awesome destinations and stunning fish. Thank y’all again for all your patience and hard work
This was plain and simply my favorite clip of any kind of content I have ever watched. Amazing!
One of the greatest videos you have ever done. I only have been there once not to fly fish but as my brother in law calls it a meat trip for halibut. 1200# of halibut is what our group got. At 70 I thought I would never see it. But as a retirement present he took me along. It is something picture just can’t describe. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful poem, and well done incorporating that into this amazing video.
Great job Joe! Really liked the ledge tips. Can’t wait to go back.
Epic trip boys! You are living the life! Thanks for letting us join you on this amazing fishing adventure!
Excellent guys! What an amazing experience for you. Thanks so much for sharing it!
Your videos are visually stunning and a fly fishers dream! Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic video and what a week of fishing! For those interested, not sure if it’s already been mentioned but the poem, so beautifully recited, is “The Spell of the Yukon” by Robert Service. Cheers!
This might be the best video you all have put out, so freakin' cool! What an adventure.
Awesome! Glad you guys got to come up and visit this year!
Thanks for sharing this video. The footage is incredible and the poem really finished it all off. This trip is my new dream. Thanks again!
Dr. Bob seems like quite the gentleman. You guys are so lucky to have gotten to experience that. Beautiful
You boys are living the dream! Thanks for sharing the adventures
Thanks, it's incredible. I like fishing. I really enjoyed watching your adventure videos.
I spend the summers guiding out of Talkeetna we specialize in multi night river excursions chasing all seven species!!! Great film guys!!
These are the videos I look for it’s hard to find videos that captures and draws me in I felt like I was fishing with you guy’s amazing video!
You guys have absolutely out done yourself, what an amazing video to watch. I need to check out that lodge this next summer. Incredible
I spent a week up in the coopers landing/soldotna area in august for my dad's 70th year celebration, 2 days of sockeye for the freezers, but the best day we had, we were walk wading for Dolly's upstream of coopers landing. An absolute trip of a lifetime which included bringing home 30lbs of salmon for the freezer, 2, 7+lb rainbow trout, and what felt like 20 dolly's between the spawning sockeye's (and getting to see some absolute units of kings in gin clear water). I cannot recommend it enough.
This video is amazing on capturing how amazing fishing in Alaska is! Alaska being where I started my fly fishing journey man thanks for an awesome video!
Super awesome video!! Makes an angler who is not fly fishing yet immediately want to hop on a plane from Germany and start fly fishing in this amazing landscape with Bob! Great job guys!👊🏽
This IS cinematography! You just gained a new subscriber!
Poem is from Robert Service. And like the poem, this video is special. It speaks to you in some kind of way that's difficult to explain. Well done. Looking forward to the next.
Fishing is top notch. Video production and quality are out of this world. These videos bring back the passion and excitement I used to have in fly fishing before I started college. These series of videos are giving me the urge to drop and out and explore, fish, and to just enjoy life as much as I possibly can. I’m at a loss for words. I’m here 100 subs before 100K. NO ONE is more deserving than you guys for this monumental milestone. Keep kicking ass and catching fish!
