The stark contrast of that low piano note followed immediately by her super high “I was Dancing” was phenomenal.
She opened the Tiktok concert with this song as well, and I’m thinking that it must make a perfect vocal warmup song. So many people are criticizing this performance, saying that Steve Styles was off on the piano but obviously they don’t understand what the tiny desk concerts are.

She also sang TMYLM on Tiktok and I'm also wondering why she's incorporating it into her set. I haven't heard anything about it. I love the song so I don't mind but I'm curious. Pretty sure that guy has been her pianist for years. He's always pretty stoic. He's the cool glasses piano guy. I think I've seen him show a little emotion in her live Father performance. Historically, she's gotten nervous and dodged notes she didn't think she'd make.

Steve doesn't look like Scooter lol he's with Demi since 2012 hahaha They work very very well together. He also plays the guitar and the bass when he needs to. Also, Demi makes odd choices to open and close concerts since... Ever. I still remember she closing some of her concerts from 2014-2016 with Give Your Heart a Break, a song from 2012

actually I do think she goes for the note like she's going to nail it but, because there have been times when she's just about to hit it and her voice cracks and there's usually no time for her to prevent it and hit some other note instead... which I think that if she anticipated she could sense when the note won't come out and she could dodge it

You should listen to the Morissette rendition,. The difference in vocal quality is unreal, the music video or the live performance of Morissette is another level, the total package..
