Awesome reaction, man! These guys are incredible musicians and Jari (frontman) is a true musical genius. Time (remaster) from the same live rehearsal is a no brainer for your next reaction.

That's a great reaction!!! Jari Mäenpää, the lead guitarist and singer, is for Wintersun, what is Tuomas for Nightwish. A great composer, a poet, the man behind everything, Fan Fact: He is missing a third of his right lung due to tuberculosis he suffered back in 1997 while he was in the army.

As the song progresses, you can picture Vikings sailing off across the frigid waters of the Arctic, Baltic and North Atlantic. The cold blasting down on the snowy yet starry vistas. It's an Epic.

Agreed, I too rate Time as a greater song, a personal preference of course. Every simple note is just so beautiful, yet so hard and epic. I have a feeling you'll like it better. A couple of other reactors rates Time as the best song they've reacted to

Time gets more appreciation for the composition as a whole Sons of winter gets appreciation for just the amount of layers and technical elements to it At least thats how ive always looked at it ^^

It's funny that everyone mentions Kai from Nightwish, for me Wintersun is Jari from Ensiferum :p He started this band as solo project and iirc played in everything himself except the drums on the 1st album. Interesting that this band evolved so much from there, but guys u should also check self titled album, especially Winter Madness, more Death less epic, cause less money and time, but also very epic! Besides some of those songs got a remaster not so long ago!

And Floors Beste Zangers ofc.

Marko also in Powerless Trio and in All Hietala Power Trio, in the latter one with his guitarist brother Zachary, and Marko's son Miro, 18, on drums. Tuomas plays on the comming album of Kotiteollisuus too. The band leader posted a picture of Tuomas playing the keys, with the text: "The cantor on the premises."

This might be the best reaction to this song, and I can see I am not alone in thinking that :) Absolutely epic band, Time should definitely be next but you can't go with any song by them, the only downside is that they don't have that many. The lead vocalist Jari also composes all of the music, records most of the instruments on the other albums and mixes it all by himself, beast of a musician, though every member is amazing.

You should check out their first album, they never made a better one and probably never will.

Great reaction and nice insights. A shame I'm not a fan of harsh vocals as it is undeniable this guy is a genius and his clean ones sound very good. Also, if you don't want ads interrupting your reactions you could always run Adblockplus and Ublock Origin extensions while recording. (I'd strongly recommend leaving them running enjoying adfree interwebs, but each to their own.)

@@MortenM80 Taylor Swift is actually pretty damn good. Coming from me as a big metal fan (who I loves all kinds of music). I discovered Taylor during the time I discovered country music living in outback Australia. Especially her early country songs are beautiful. But I bet I would've never gotten into her if not living out there, I was just feeling the whole country thing at the time. :D I think she's super talented.
