What I love about the guitar solo is that he's jamming and just when you think he can't get better...he stands up.

Yeah, the thing that amazes me so much about his playing is how he can drag a solo out so long and still make it feel exciting and like it's going somewhere. That solo would have been amazing if he'd finished it there, and instead he turns on the afterburners. Just nutty.

@@joelecho I also love how he makes it his own and doesn't try to copycat David Gilmour. Especially with their cover of Comfortably Numb. He just OWNS it.

I said it years ago I'll say it again, best solo I have EVER heard in my life.

On the other hand, check out this guitarist's live jamming on "Voodoo Chile" compared to several live versions offered on KZread by the Australian female guitar guru artist Orianthi. It would be nothing short of astonishing to see how Orianthi would've torched this "Have A Cigar" song compared to the former at large.

Glad you have you liked it. What I especially love is during the solo the bass player leading the guitar player along keeping the flow. I just love how well they play together, and how they make the covers they do their own while paying respects to the original.

OMFG! Who is this guitarist? Dayum!!!!! I LOVE Pink Floyd and am not usually a fan of Pink Floyd covers. Have a Cigar is not my favorite PF song. But this... Yeah, it's going on my playlist. I need to hear more of this band. Thanks for doing this song. Love your channel.

👍👍👍 Dam man, that was so, so out of this world, it put chills down my spine. my band could never have put that type of energy. It brought back the Video that Pink Floyd did live on location in Pompeii. and it was Not a note for note, they put there own sauce in this. Wow, the singer nailed it. I had to watch this 4 times to really take it all in. Wow. Yes I so much agree on the guitar player. Even the over drive and stacked boost, it sounded so Clean, Dam I am just blown away. I just went over to there yb site. They are legit and there's more of them, the band is not just what we see in this video. They are truly off on there own.

Man! Again you are introducing me to new music and quality mucians! These guys are really good, and not to stereotype anyone, but I was NOT expecting that voice to come out of that singer. But the guitarist as you said, has mastered the art of blues rock based soloing. Dude definitely has the chops! I gotta check this band out. Thanks again Jeff!

That was excellent. Always a good indication when a band can smile as they play and feel musical joy! Great solo work and smooth vocals making something old new and fresh again. Loved it!

It's hard to cover a Pink Floyd song decently. This was pretty good though. I liked the guitar as well, thought it was the best part. The Pink Floyd cover (more of a tribute) that you are going to want to see, is of High Hopes as done by Nightwish (Marko lead vocals) from the End of an Era show. It got David Gilmour's stamp of approval.

Love it. Been following these guys for years. They kicked around in my hometown for a number of years before heading off to Chicago & now LA. Their background is they got together at Indiana University I'm thinking around 2010. They stuck around playing Bloomington & Indianapolis & midwest gigs for a good 6 or 7 years. Saw them live a few months back & if you've seen them or even heard them once you know there aren't many bands as tight as they are. Yeah...I heard you say their secret weapon was their guitar player, but to be fair, every one in the band is as good as he is on their respective instruments...vocalist included. Their energy is incredible. The guitar solo is definitely a virtuosic statement. I mean he inserted some be bop lines in there...what? Unbelievable. Thanks for reacting to this & giving these guys some well deserved coverage. Check out their original song called This World...the playing at home version w/ Gallant. It's off the charts & Max (the guitar player Max Newman) doesn't disappoint in it either.

Maximilian is easily one of my favorite guitarists. You should check out their cover of a change is gonna come, since I've been loving you, or comfortably numb. The solo in comfortably numb rivals the solo from Gilmore's live show, absolutely wild
