Veronica is so powerful in "Dead girl walking (Reprise)", I love it! Also, "Heaven on their minds" is great, there's so much truth in it. And Carl's the best Judas hands down.
this new generation confuses me. back in MY day, ALL we saw was dead girl walking reprise in compilations! i’m glad y’all are enjoying it though! it rules!
I'll agree with "Revolting Children" and "Quiet". Those kids are younger than me and so TALENTED!

Although I do respect and adore him, yesss. I love his work as much as the rest of us but I'm a little tired of Hamilton in every video. We know Renee and Phillipa overthrow stages. But even in the heights is underappreciated in some senses and I appreciate what they did, but thank God for something else haha

Can we all agree that lin isnt a strong performer and is best at 'back stage' roles like writing and directing?
@deenadallas2802
Жыл бұрын
@@reluctantlysmol4274 Yes, I know Lin's not the best singer, but I remember listening to the Hamildrop song "Cheering For Me Now," and I think he's definitely improved at singing so much. Besides, the ending is so powerful that I actually got emotional in a happy way. I still have a major problem with that song and I still love singing it, even though it's so underrated. Lin has definitely gotten better at singing, and the song shows it. (P.S. Lin has also gotten more better at singing when he played the titular character in the movie, "Vivo.")
The moment Cynthia Erivo sings "I'm beautiful" my whole heart aches

Cynthia Erivo is so incredible! I can't wait to see her as elphaba in the wicked movie! She will slaughter that part!
So, with the Deaf West Theater revival of "Spring Awakening," the most powerful part of "Purple Summer" is when all voice and musical accompaniment stops and all you're left with are the Deaf actors signing their parts. Even if you don't know American Sign Language, you understand enough because it's been signed several times prior, as the hearing cast leaves the stage.........it left the audience in stunned silence for a good 90 seconds before they erupted into applause! And a HUGE thank you for ending with the revival of HAIR, so I could see my AMAZING friend, @DariusNichols in action as Hud. I was so lucky to see him in that role, and this brought back so many memories!! ❤️🤟
We performed “Let the Sunshine In” my first year in college and thought it was a happy song. After we actually sat and watched it, we were all SOBBING when we performed it.

Honestly same. I was crying at every show we did. And for the last rehearsal, my director made us sing it in circle and we were holding each other's hand.. It was so powerful, I don't think I sang an actual note lmao
Nah straight up Donny Osmond as Joseph is the entire reason I became a musical theatre geek in the first place. And it’s still one of my absolute favourites. Close Every Door is a masterpiece. And Dead Girl Walking Reprise is the best part of Heathers hands down

I love him but I personally am a simp for Micheal Damian. Especially specifically his your self. They both have different voices that portray a different take on the character. To be honest, I can’t choose a favorite between them! This is my first and favorite musical.
I'm so grateful someone else recognized how powerful the finale of Cabaret is

i was so happy to see falsettos in this video, i hardly see anyone talk abt it but it's one of my favorite musicals ever
I Know Where I've Been gives me chills every time and in the right conditions will absolutely have me SOBBING. It's just so powerful and emotional.
I’m so glad there was some bonnie and Clyde appreciation in this video! It’s criminally underrated and definitely deserves more love
Usually these videos forget about Come From Away and there are soooo many good moments in that show, glad you included it
the destruction is so powerful and amazing. totally deserved its place on this list
Dang you just really cranked up the feels levels towards those last few songs 🥴😭
#1. I can't even count how many times I replayed to N2N Tony performance back in the day to hear the part from 2:12-2:16. #2. "Cheek to cheek in hell" is the lyric of a lifetime. #3. I don't know how that Hair audience could have POSSIBLY kept clapping along to the song after the reveal. I would have been too stunned to move.
I could listen to eva noblezada sing literally anything all day 😍🤩
so happy to see donny here representing joseph cause that whole musical slaps and you really don't need to be religious to enjoy it (god knows i'm not) but also holy shit i hear welcome to the rock and i'm CRYING that song moves me so much every single time

god the deaf west spring awakening is so incredible thank you so much for including it
It’s not often that you have the exact same musical moment taste as somebody else but I have never watched a compilation of musicals that I have agreed with more. We would have a great time at a show together! just saying lol! I’ve re-watched and re-watched so many of these moments its wild! The only thing I would add is George Salazar singing Micheal in the Bathroom it’s *chef’s kiss*
@auroralane8523

I love be more chill! The Broadway version sucks but at least they kept George Salazar that was like the only redeeming quality! He's incredible. It's a crime they replaced the og Jeremy though because he was also sooooooo good. I just try to pretend it was never adapted for Broadway. They slaughtered the soundtrack and cast. This is my conspiracy theory, they wanted it to suck so that critics would disregard it and we won't hear more of sounds and stories like be more chill professionally. In defense of critics, be more chill does have some weak tracks, but it has some total gems as well and it's definitely unforgettable and unique. I wish more reviews on it saw it for what it is.
THANK YOU FOR NOTICING DREAMCOAT that part gives me chills every time
Colour of Purple and Spring Awaykening + Next to Normal - we need proshot, movie and every other version this shows ❤️ Why HBO MAX do document not full concert version? 😭
GREAT COMET SUPREMACY 😫😫😫

How can you do "Heaven on their mind" and not do the earth shattering high note. It sends me.
7:15 YESS someone who also appreciates letters as much as me !! i’m obsessed with the whole song especially the “a loveee letter” part
The song Let the sunshine in, always hits my heart!!
The way I SCREECHED when GHD appeared 😍🥳 Also thank you so much for including Fun Home: one of the most incredible pieces of modern MT. So glad I got to see it during its (offensively short) London run a few years ago. ❤

The Regina George Musical Piece got me singing my heart out with my anger!!! :) 8:02

My parents took me to Broadway the one year Groundhog Day was on No matter how many musicals I watch it will always be my favourite Finally someone’s mentioned it in one of these compilations
Seeing Carrie the Musical on here! One of my favorite obscure musicals, I would recommend on youtube watching ‘And Eve Was Weak’ from the 80s gives me chills

You have it listed 'Once Upon A Time | Care'. If I'm correct, this is Bare? I ask because I've been avoiding watching it for over a year now, because I know it's good and I know I am not emotionally stable enough to cope with it. And I just want to make sure it gets the credit it deserves.
alright so i agree with them all but i gotta say *andrew garfield* singing 30/90 gotta be my favorite aside from the og
