A lot of people that have a deep understanding of music theory are unable to explain musical theories or ideas to normies..I’ve listened to this song about 20 times and you’ve just pointed out 3 or 4 things that I simply didn’t notice. Just watched the live Hellfest stream where they played this song live for the first time. Holy shit dude. It was literally perfect. She fucking nailed the last deep, extended growl. Clean singing was on point as well. I don't think she's ever sounded better and the band has only gotten better and better over the years. I was kind of worried how those really low chugging riffs would sound live but they pulled it off. Shit was heavy. Made me want to stomp a hole in my living room floor.

Knew nothing about the live stream until now! In a world where the studio engineer can make a lot of average musicians sound killer, it's all the more impressive to hear that this band are just as good live. Harks back to the good old days where all recording musicians had to be shit-hot players!

And hear I am just dumbfounded by Tati's "swirl" growl at the end LOL 😆😆😆😆 I'm not a musician, but even I know that Jinjer is so complex on the way thay write their music now, compared to the earlier stuff which was still fantastic. The way you explain everything musically is so informative and awesome, it gives me even a greater appreciation of Jinjer on how incredible of a band they are. Not only are you not just sitting there smiling and saying "that's cool" once or twice (which already puts you way above the average reactor, let's be honnest), but the points you're making actually make me enjoy the song more, like for the way the riff is being drip-fed at about 14:00 and above. Guten Tag! I think that most people these days now realise that metal music has always had a level of sophistication to it. Hard to believe it used to be considered dumb or just noise, by some people. Jinjer are the perfect commercial vehicle to showcase just how incredibly sophisticated metal can be. Virtuosity doesn't just mean playing fast. Everything about this is virtuosic, to me. In the ways that matter.

Catchy, disoriented and it just flows. You are very good at grasping the essence of the song and this band (and any song, for that matter), and so quickly too! During the first listen, it's very hard to tell what exactly is going on, and yet it works. There's always a clear tempo you can nod your head to, and yet you won't know where the downbeats will lie, what the chord changes will be. Many bands do this, but Jinjer somehow makes it all work always. Thank you for the reaction, yours are always a must watch!

By the way you mentioned a word “evolution” and that’s exactly what Jinjer is doing. Evolving a new kind of way of playing extreme music.

Another great Jinjer reaction! Definitely great insight on the song structure keeping evolving and not settling into something. Keep 'em coming! Also, noticing that when the song ended it popped up on your screen that video following next would be the Danny Carey drum cam performance of "Pneuma", it reminded me that you still haven't put up a reaction/review of that one, which kinda surprises me. Cause even if you've already seen it, I believe a lot of people would like to hear your thoughts and inputs on it.

I have 0 knowledge of music theory but your commentary and metaphors and examples made so much sense. I also started to notice new sounds in the song that I didn't notice before, there's this 'ting' or beeping sound in the beginning, when a phrase is over you will hear it briefly, then it will stop before the next phrase starts. I can't tell if it's the guitar, bass, or drum but it's driving me crazy since it sounds like the sound my earbuds make when the battery is low lol. I also can hear the sound of strings moving and rattling in the beginning of and the end of some reffs. The more I listen to this song the more things I hear in it. It's so fascinating.

I’ve been listening to this album over and over since it came out, and didn’t appreciate this song as much until I saw their video and recognized how they melded the music and lyrics to create a literal vortex sonically. This reaction was my first of your videos I’ve seen, and I enjoyed all of it. The concept of moving where the phrase starts and ends just reinforces the “sonic vortex” of the song’s composition, and how it builds from the small guitar part intro with a little drums add, then more, and so forth.

The #LegChills are real indeed! LOL I've a feeling this denotes Vlad's classical training coming into its own, now that he is settled in the band, & that he has really dived into the writing process for the upcoming album- apparently Vlad did ~80% of the musical composition for this one.... & I *cannot wait* :D Also, it's nice to see a good few positive, encouraging, comments for yourself in here. You do a great job with these analyses. It may be slower growth than others on the Toob, but I suspect you're gathering the kind of folk who are likely to be *solid* supporters, the kind of which shallower channels can only dream of attracting- keep yer head up. I mean, I could live off of 400 Patreon subs pinging me a fiver a month for (Discord, access to reaction requests, & a monthly livestream).... just sayin'!! ;)

@@JWSoundworks2 10k subs seems a sensible mark to launch something like I suggest here. Gives you a chance to get the wee bit of prep done re. setting up Patreon, Discord server, TeeSpring etc accounts (& possibly upgrading internet service for livestreaming).... but you might be surprised how quick that 10k can pop up. I'm not suggesting you're lazy, but there's no harm in getting things set up soon as. ;) All the best from sunny Dundee as always!

Vlad supposedly wrote 80% of the new album so that's probably why you're picking up a lot of classical elements with the composition. He is a classically trained pianist and also plays guitar. He's pushed this band to a higher level in my opinion.

Yes and yes, vlad is pure money and what drew me into Jinjer in at first. But in this song, Tati's emotions and vocals are sublime, almost trance like at times as it elevates the emotion of the song and just pierces the soul, masterclass as usual from Jinjer.
