In honor of Blackout Tuesday, I have made the decision to reschedule my premiere for tomorrow (the evening of June 3 or the morning of June 4th depending on your time zone). I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused. As a black woman I need to support my brothers and sisters and stand up for myself today. I know that the majority of my audience is based outside of the U.S. and may or may not be aware of all that is happening here. Police Brutality against innocent black citizens has been an issue in our country for a long time now. As a black person myself, this is a terrifying reality for me and for my family. Our life has been deemed by our government and by the people that are supposed to be protecting us as less valuable than others. This week, a movement around this reality has finally become a mainstream topic of conversation. People that didn't understand before are finally willing to listen to our experiences. People that are not affected by racism are finally starting to stand up for us! It did not sit right with me to ask others to do for me what I wasn't willing to do myself. For that reason, I made the decision to hold off on the release of this video for another day. Others singers are amazing because they can belt, and they can soar super high notes. But KZ is a kind of singer that sings not just with her heart and soul but with her whole life as you hear how passionate she deliver everything. This is the same feeling that I feel when I hear Moira Dela Torre and Yeng Constantino sing a very touching song. These singers can be able to touch your heart and move your soul. I love them all. I love this version of this song.

Great reaction! As the story goes on this one, the producers made KZ change the song she was going to sing to this one the day before the show. So, KZ threw this together with little time to prepare and rehearse. She had her guitarist friend fly in from Manila and he just arrived a few hours ahead of time. You'd never know all that was going on from looking at the performance. A Great Big World saw KZ's version and were highly complimentary.

One other main find for westerners on this show was Hua Chenyu, who they showed watching from backstage. Most people start watching him with the song "Nunchucks", which he drastically transformed from another artist's rap song.

You really need to react to Jessie J performing Purple rain from the same show. You see her sitting watching KZ in this video. This in my opinion is the best KZ performance on the show, its just great

I never heard Jessie J do that. That was pure KZ, a pure student of jazz music. You killed a little bit of the enjoyment of this reaction with that comment. It's not like she grew up listening to Jessie J, I see them as pretty much (almost) peers. I'll watch the rest though.

Thank you... She makes one beg for more! Just beautiful. she arranged it with some help from the guitarist... It's very ethereal - what with the clouds, the sunset and the sunset- heavenly. It is amazing! She plays with the emotion in the song and it sure gets the listener! Also, she was given a few hours to rehearse this song 'cuz they won't accept what she prepared. The story they say why she sang that was because the management change her song (it was supposed to be a Beatle song). she had a few hours to prepare, asked Makoy, the guitarist, to fly to china from Manila to help her. They did not have much time (just a few hours) to rehearse with the orchestra, hence the unplugged sort of version which is very good - I think. But, hey, it came out beautifully and amazing. KZ gives her "all" everytime she sings. BTW, you can check out her cover of CLOSE TO YOU live from her first concert in the Philippines. Thank you again. Thank you again.

Hello Tyra: I’m very much surprised you haven’t as yet reacted to Diana Ankudinova-who millions consider possesses the most unique recognizable mesmerizing memorable amazing atavistic tribunal primordial shaman goddess voice in the world -any age. At age 14 her incredible and legendary performance of an old ritual wedding folk song titled “ rechenka” ( River in English) Is -to this day-considered by many professional vocalists and coaches as the most unique and mesmerizing live performance by a vocalist -any age , in the history of Russian talent shows-adult or kids!! And along with “ Human” ( low notes to die for.. she’s a rare contralto ) and “ Wicked Game” contributed to her winning not only the kids contest for 2 consecutive years but catapulted her to international stardom. with millions of avid followers worldwide. And you might want to read a little about her tragic younger years as an orphan abandoned and tossed into a garbage can unable speak for years after she was up for adoption by her birth mother at age 3. After Rechenka, You may want to continue your Ankudinova journey by reacting the year prior to “ rechenka” when she was 13!! She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling. It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say the best yodeling performance in the history of videos showcasing yodeling, but in this performance it wasn’t just her amazing yodeling but also her body movement and stage presence and incredible as this might sound ( and I’ll shortly explain the reason why) but NOT ONE CHAIR TURNED!!!! But this turned out to be a BLATANT LIE and one of the worse scandals in Russian talent contest history. Because the following day it was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” the winner was already “bought” before the show started. A total travesty of justice and revealing how corrupt this Russian kids show was at the time. And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on KZread spit on the judges. But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests. Please ( when you get the chance) react at least privately by YouTubing “ Diana Ankudinova yodeling”. And you’ll witness a yodeling masterpiece and if you stay to near the end of the judges commentary ( making excuses and lying) you will hear a brief portion of the French song the judges asked her to sing that she NAILED! And there is a video of her outside a mall at age 11 singing this same French song but the complete version and she KILLED IT!!!! And when you’re convinced that she’s one of the best female vocalist in the world ( like millions of others including myself) you may want to react to a couple of her newer songs: ( she just turned 17 the other day) like “by your voice”. or Maybe You Maybe Me” I promise you if you continue to publicly react to Diana ( “Rechenka,” “Human” , “Wicked Game”, “Yodeling”...your subscriber base will go through the roof!!!! She’s now almost as popular as the great male pop-op vocalist Dimash. And has her own Facebook fan club. And rumor has Diana and Dimash May perform together in concert one day and when it happens I can assure you when the upcoming concert is announced, it will be SOLD OUT in less than an hour.
