It's a Carruthers which was made in Venice Beach, California. I'm not sure whether they are still in business. I sold it years ago. I liked the sound and the playability. I just couldn't balance it no matter what I tried. It was hard to hold especially when I went to the upper register. Not to make excuses, but I apologize for my intonation in places. I was trying not to drop the bass...LOL. I couldn't balance it sitting or standing.
