The coloring for the colored manga is done by the JOJO-D Shueisha team, for the digital release of the manga. Araki has nothing to do with any of those decisions.

In terms of attacks nothing since Chariot Requiem has no will since the user died not like it matters if calamities hit it since WoU bypasses it’s defense.

One more, Radio Gaga
I like that Araki was just flat out listening to Coda consistently for like a decade
I like how upon all of the added references there's also stuff in colour too
I use to think Schottkey 7th Path was a terrible choice of a song for the stand users but now that I look back on it, it's an absolutely wonderful choice. Besides the song being great, really took me a minute to grow on me but I really appreciate it now, the song really fits the weird and alien vibe of the A. Phex Twins. I believe the synths feel like warped sirens and the cricking twist that sounds like some sort of wrench really cements that something isn't right. The deep bass(?) notes in parts of the song make it feel evil and forboading, just like the characters. And the chh-wuuah-wuuah type thing (idk lmao). Honestly I don't think there's another song that would perfectly encapsulate the characters or even Richard himself. Its really outstanding how smart Araki was with his music choice.
BABY ANOTHER UPDATE LETS GOOOO
For the next iteration - It’s not Walking Heart Attack by Holland K. Smith, seeing as the Stand/Stand user and song have nothing in common besides the name, it’s Walkin’ Good by Heart, the song is actually relevant to Hato’s character, it talks about bouncing back from heartbreak while all the while mentioning shoes/walking, which fit the Stand power.
@WaldoDoesGames
3 жыл бұрын
I agree it's not Holland K. Smith, obscure musician who just coincidentally had a song with the right name. I'm not sure if it's the heart song but that's a good catch. It might just be a stand named to fit the king + card suit naming scheme, like Mitsuba's.
@drpepsi48
3 жыл бұрын
@@WaldoDoesGames I still think there could be a reference out there for Mitsuba, but if so the JoJo community has absolutely no clue what it could be, and no songs or artists that the community has primarily singled out are the actual reference (The two biggest offenders being that Native American flute track which is FAAAAAAR too obscure to even be considered, and Awaking the Centuries by Haggard; since when does Araki listen to symphonic metal? He hasn’t demonstrated a large interest in the metal genre, only ever listening to some of the most popular acts of the genre, like Metallica and Black Sabbath). I hope Araki can finally answer the questions in an interview or artbook or something of what Walking Heart, Milagro Man, and Awaking III Leaves reference so that we can 100% be sure of what the references are, but until then we can only guess for now. I think I might have cracked the code for Walking Heart due to how fitting a pick Walkin’ Good is, but there’s still a possibility the real reference could be different.
@aceitedeolivas1997
3 жыл бұрын
@@drpepsi48 the thing is that Araki for the most part stays loyal to the whole name of the reference when naming a stand, only changing a letter or removing a "the". Just watched through your whole playlist of these in order to make the ultimate JoJo refrence playlist of spotify, thanks for making the video cause it made this process much easier
¡Great! I was missing the music references. Great job Hamon beat 👍
Glad he referenced CAN and Hawkwind. Usually Araki references pretty popular western music, which I also like, but what I like even more is non-popular classic rock.
Bro I just noticed that Every Higashikata male family member has "King" somewhere in their Stand name.

Every Higashikata has a king in their name. Other than Josuke, of course.
California King Bed is still pretty young compared to the other Stand names along with Born This Way. I remember listening it in first grade way back 2011 and I felt weird seeing it as a stand name. Gosh. Good times tho.
Pls update this list it would be awesome to have a complete jojolion musical references
Milagro man is actually a double reference. The songs referenced are "Miracle Man" by Elvis Costello (as shown in the video) and "Milagro" by Santana
Just waiting for radio ga ga

Thanks friend with these videos and I almost finished assembling my entire playlist of the jojos and I only lack part 7 6 and 5
JoJoLion finally got completed!
One you missed, the sign for the sesame honey care also likely references the album "Red" by king crimson, having a very similar border design to that of the album cover of Red, minus the colour and top part

@@archiewildes people kept spamming “Please make an updated part 8 music references video” on his server’s video ideas channel due to the fact that there is only one musical reference excluded from this video (Radio Gaga) since the old version (this video) was released before chapter 109. It eventually resulted in the joke becoming a punishable offense on the server.

Now we need Go Beyond and Radio Gaga, and it will be complete.
Im still looking forward for new videos Love this channel
Damn! I remember spotting the Coda album when I was first reading JoJoLion, but I just thought "wow, a Led Zeppelin reference, cool." I should've known it was foreshadowing something, as later in the story both Poor Tom and his stand reference songs from the same album.
Araki is cultured man
The Jobin Higashikata reference is so epic.
heyy , love ur jojo vid. keep going ❤👍🏽
Deadman's curve, roadrail? Wait wait did araki foreshadow this?
Didn't catch that Houses of the Holy at all, but it's so clear in retrospect. Araki loves integrating music-related art so much
Why is nobody pointing out that at 1:56 with the nut king call one Nat king cole and Nut king call are looking at each other

Why is his name "nut" instead of "nat" Araki is so weird but a genius
Man, I miss these videos, I should revisit the older ones more often.
I love how Wonder of U got his name picked because of Tooru listing to wonder of you

I think that in this part Araki wanted to give more meaning to the references by making his users name their stands based on their favorite songs and since Queen is canon because of Daiya's dialogue, perhaps Jojolion's Kira gave his stand Killer queen and Sheer heart attack based on the song and Daiya at some point must have heard California king bed given that she is a big fan of music, it would make more sense that in the wild west of 1890 they name songs from the 20th century where the oldest of all those is from 1950
