All Dimash musicians and backing vocal singers have a very stablished careers. Rassul is an awarded musical actor, Zarina is a vocal leader of a Jazz band. Dimash works only with the best and they stay with him for years. He takes a half of an hour in the end of his concerts to guarantee each one of them have their solo on the stage. And most of the time he gives a special attention to the percussionist... The coolest thing I saw Dimash do was when he surprised Rassul, making him singing one whole solo song (a tradicional song of the etnia Rassul belongs) on the stage while he went to the band to play the piano for him (nobody knew he will do that, only Dimash could play that song for Rassul). I never watched a singer do that: not just let the backing vocal sing alone on the stage (that is quite common when the singer need to get out of stage to change outfits, for example), but play the piano to accompany the backing vocal to make sure he would have the attention and appreciation he deserves. The percussion guy is very famous in Russia. I think he has KZread channel where he did solo concert playing multiple instruments... at the same time 😮 Dimash’s team are not ordinary musicians.

*Never gets old to see first time to Dimash & SOS. Any singer hearing him immediately realizes...oh, there's someone with a better vice than me. LOL*

Thank you for pointing out Ilya the percussionist. Once I was at a private garden party and Ilya gave us a private concert. He is an amazing musician and a really nice guy.

Yes, his band members are all friends and the percussionist is fantastic and when Dimash jams with his band members at the end of concerts, they are great together because Dimash plays drums, along with 6 other instruments, so they go to town when playing together! Can i just say that it was Dimash who named his fans "Dears" as he says we are very dear to him and like family 😊🙏💞

The unique thing about Dimash is his ability to have multiple genres in one song moving smoothly from one to the next so the song flows like any other except we might have heard Opera, Rock, Pop, Jazz & Rap. Every performance seems to feature the percussionist more than the other players, which i find very amusing. I have a friend who looks like him so it is doubly memorable. The triangle somehow makes it into almost every video. Maybe one of the cameramen has a crush? Or the editor? 😂🤣😂🤣😂 Either way... getting to play for/with Dimash should be considered the ultimate compliment.

Great reaction and thank you for taking the opportunity to share him with as many people as you can at that event! I LOVE Iliya and really all of Dimash's band. There's a reason that Dimash makes sure to acknowledge his team at every performance because he knows how much they work with him to help him perform at his best. He has had several people work with him who have then branched off, or artists who work with him regularly but certainly are known for their own work as well, like Olzhas and Jordan. He is continuing the "Stranger" tour with a concert in Hong Kong this month and another coming in Budapest in May! I'm hoping we'll get him back in the States sooner rather than later. For future reference: Dimash 2023-Vocal range: Growls (vocal fry): G0-G1 Vocal Fry: G#1 - D2 Chest voice: E2-C#5 Mixed voice: D5-C6 Head voice: C#6 - F#6 Whistle: E7-D8 Natural range: E2 - F#6 4.2 octaves *Full range: G0 - D8 7.7 octaves To put it in context: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the end of a piano. Who is Dimash? Only the singer of the millennia. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. His range extends from the top of the bass register to the highest notes of the coloratura soprano and whistle register. His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Correction: Many of us have not had/will not have the opportunity to see him live. We don't know that he introduces every band member individually at the end of a concert. We see youtube videos where he will thank the band at the end of a performance. Or we see interviews where he talks about his band.

There are quite a few videos on KZread of his concerts where he does indeed individually introduce his back up singers and each member of his band. He also gives a shoutout, by name, to many others not on the stage who helped put the concert together, including his arranger, the director, his family, etc. He never takes any member of his team for granted.

re the conversation about bands and credit and live. what about all the the tracks that mostly drummers are having to engage each song? Do you give more credit when you know that the all the things on that software came from the actual members (for example knowing that Miyako from Lovebites DID record all the piano fills for a live show). Then we have the issue of the vanishing 'sideman". I have a friend who only has a house in Seattle because her then husband was like the FIRST guy that REM hired to be extra guitar and sometimes bass guy-if all that is now in the show software????
