For that technique you asked about from KI, it’s a click with the mouth closed, so when I mixed this I labelled the channel “Closed Click” Edit: For the BBU there are no sound rules and engineers are encouraged to use whatever techniques they think would sound good. These weren’t actually double tracked, I actually just duplicated the percussion onto a different channel and masked it on the percussion channel for total control.

Ay it's the man himself :D Thanks for clearing that up! Definitely gonna try and learn that technique- Awesome job on the mix! I didn't really talk that much about it, but it was one of the best mixes so far in the competition in my opinion. Especially the drums and the kick in particular were pretty tight!

Count 1 2 3 4 with the rythym he started for the buildup and keep the same beat throughout and you'll see that Sxin at 10:05 is bullshitting.
