The way Halle voice resonated when she hit that “Are” Belt and took it a step higher. Also, I love the uniqueness of her voice like there is nobody singing like her. To me she is like the Whitney or “The Voice” of our generation! Your reaction was so good! The musicality and comments on how the music complements her voice. But her vibrato tho

Disney better take care of the good sis! They better give her EVERY DIME, NICKEL, QUARTER, and THIN RED DAMN CENT SHE DESERVES… cause I won’t have it any other way. I want her to own her masters, her merchandising, her likeness, name and ALL!!!! Protect this artist in the name of JESUS!

Let's hope her people looked at the long game before signing anything for Little Mermaid. I believe Jason Weaver was offered 2 million dollars or something for him singing in the original Lion King but his momma said nooooope if they will give that up front, that means they are expecting it to do well so she made a different deal for royalties and that one movie is still feeding his family.

Because honestly, Black women have been CARRYING the entertainment industry (stay mad if you don't agree) and Hally added her strengths to the battle in a whole different way with this stellar rendition which should be the new standard of the song. I love how she took some notes from her CEO Beyonce and Blue Ivy Carter, because there's a part of the song that very similar to the way Beyonce did it.

Them being given only 1 million by Beyoncé is a good thing . That means they don’t have to pay her back much . Most artist end up in debt for majority of their peak because they owe their record labels so much money . Chloe and Halle makes all their music and are given that freedom . So chances are they likely own their masters too . They are given white frankly the best contract . look more into it .

The music saved her with this song. I don't know why people are gushing over this. I especially hate it when artists add their "own touch" to a classic song. Just sing the song as it was ment to be sung. 🙄 I hope she doesn't ruin "The Little Mermaid". At least with that movie a good part of it is silent...IF...IF...they keep it inline with the classic Disney movie. I'm also curious to see how Melissa plays Ursula. I hope she doesn't ruin the character either. I dunno. I guess I just want the classic by the script. Lol. 🤷

What an odd straw man argument, u have every right not to like a rendition but when Elton john wrote and performed this song he very much put his own spin on it, different from the musical and movie versions. For the most pair she did a classic flair minimal job. Maybe when u perform it on Disney’s 50th can do so as bland as u like...
