You're right, PROUD was the first word that came to my mind the first time I watched this performance. Back then, when Halle was announced as the new Ariel, she received so much hate and harassment from racists everywhere. But this performance just proved to the world that she was the perfect choice for Ariel ❤️

Yes, people forget that before Disney World... Disney Land existed. This is why they feel as though it can't just be 50yrs old.

Btw Halle’s not voicing a Disney princess, she’s actually playing Ariel in the live action version which she filmed for 7 months and is out in 2023!
