Is in the middle of it all, he's been so long here that he moves with the grace of a deer on a field of flowers, as if this was his element, his prime. I have pretty bad anxiety and I've been have quite a few panic attacks recently, but, when i first heard this song i felt a huge wave of calmness, for the first time in forever. I literally almost fell asleep when i first listened to it. And the fact that its alastor singing it just makes it so much better since hes my favorite comfort character, and i feel like hes singing to me to comfort me. I love this song, but i love alastor even more ❤️

Can I just say that Your voice is absolutely enchanting? I mean, most songs, even those romantic, swaying or depressing I'm just listening On a whim, while driving, walking or doing any chores, while ALL your songs just make me stop in my tracks and close my eyes to focus on your majestic voice alone

Now this is such pure music, I got goosebumps during the premiere. I love how at the end Alastor just brushes over the fact that he sang a song with so much pure emotions. Great job as always, but especially because of the french. Mister Parano¡d "I don't speak french" DJ, this was amazing! I wonder at how much of the lyrics you really knew what you were saying because it sounds like every word comes from the heart.

After the "caught your ear, did I?" I couldn't help but imagine Angel idely flipping through a book, searching for the dirty scenes, with the radio crooning in the back. He recognizes the voice as Al's, turns it up and smiles because tomorrow he can tease the big bad radio demon for indulging in love songs. That's when Al breaks the charade, speaks to Angel directly, to which Angel jumps, slamming the book shut--as if caught red-handed with the smut--and gawking at the radio. Alastor laughs and keeps singing La Vive Un Rose, A Life in Pink.

Oh my, DJ. This is just simply moving. As soon as I saw the title 'La Vie en Rose' my heart skipped a beat. My favorite piece of French music, arranged gorgeously and with your Alastor singing in French? Damn, I got quite excited, ha! I wondered how you would handle the French and all I can say is c'était exquis! Absolutely beautiful, my friend, and executed so well. And Alastor's radio distortions? They fit perfectly. Recordings of Edith Piaf singing this are older and in much less higher fidelity, exactly like Alastor's voice here and I loved how well it was executed! The sound designs besides the distortion as well were a treat. The footsteps of Alastor approaching the piano, followed by the creaks as he sat down and opened the fallboard sets a great stage. Then while he plays and relaxes more, those wispy and rumbling sounds of his power idly drifting out and surrounding him lend to a great mental image of him being lost in the playing. It all fit just wonderfully. Characterwise, this song also would certainly be one Alastor knows. He was Creole and would have known French Creole since he was from Louisiana. Further, with how proper he is, it would also make sense that he would master French as well. The song was from 1945 as well and is that 'traditional pop' style that Alastor's based his persona around. Although, the heavily romantic lyrics of the song when applied to Alastor might suggest some things... The Radiodust fans must be absolutely losing their minds over this.

I don’t watch Hazbin Hotel, itself, but Alastor has definitely captured my heart as a character crush! Thank you for the song, it’s beautiful, (especially with him singing it!) 😊🥰🥹

This is like Batman singing Am I Blue. Something quietly sentimental about a normally socially inept character being able to give us something beautiful. I can imagine this being in season 2, the gang are reaping from the Exorcists, trauma isn’t recovered from yet, then Alastor, in his own little world decides to sing for himself. The rest hear him and… Charlie decides to invite Vaggie to a slow dance in the foyer. Husk looks up and remembers from his days as a bar hopper and seeing happy couples dance in front of him. Anthony remembers the speak easy he last saw his sister wave goodbye to him. Nifty remembers listening to this song on the radio alone in her house. Lucifer looks up at the portrait of Lilith and misses her even more, glaring in Alastor general vicinity for getting under his skin, even unintentionally. Just a quiet serenade to end the first episode of season 2.

I want this at my wedding as the final song. I can just imagine as me and my fiancé start at opposite ends of the dance floor, come to the center while Alastor is walking. Fiancé bows and holds a hand out, I take it and we start dancing on the dance floor. Twirling and spinning gracefully. When Alastor speaks, my fiancé turns and says it to someone in the crowd and we go back to dancing. At the end, I put a playful elbow on his shoulder, and say the last few lines and we walk off to our honeymoon together.

I was fully expecting this to just be, ok. I honestly was ready to click off. But the MOMENT I heard you sing, oh my god! I went full screen immediately and listened to the whole thing without zoning out. This was absolutely incredible! This is just proof to never underestimate you. This is amazing. Personally, I don't think of Radiodust when I listen to this cover song. I imagine that the person who finds Alastor is the lamb lady from the comic "A Day in the Afterlife." Here's my scene for this song: The lamb lady finds herself in danger once again, this time captured by a gang of ruffians squatting in an old theater. As she escapes and hides from them, the sound of footsteps echo throughout the building. Then, a piano softly plays. What once was the cacophony of ruffians is now a rather peaceful (and romantic) performance. The lamb lady follows the music, scared yet entranced. She eventually finds the theater's stage. She freezes in place. What greets her is a macabre puppet show. Entrails scatter the walls, the seats, and the stage. Corpses dance like ragdolls on strings, pulled by massive, monstrous shadows. Blood stains the old dusty floor. The lamb lady looks up at the stage to find a piano... and him. The Radio Demon himself. The one who smiles. The gentleman who saved her life.

Hearing Alastor sing in french is something I didn't know I needed

The first time I heard this I cried. Id never heard something as beautiful as ironically alastor singing in French. Good lord.

This reminds me of the French singer and actor, Charles Aznavour. This sounds like something that would’ve been up his alley. Anyway, brilliant job as always! I’m wondering if you would do another Angel Dust song cover, this time with Dean Martin’s “Mambo Italiano”. Angel seems like the kind of guy that enjoys Latin American music.

I just had the saddest thought of Alastor singing this all alone in his house, especially because the laughter sounds like his own effect. You have to wonder if he ever gets lonely being so feared by everyone 😢.

This inspired a scene in a fic I'm currently writing, so thank you for that. :) This is gorgeous.

Oh this is just stunning-- just the idea that Alastor could 'tap in' to something he may have done while he was alive (Mimzy saying that if you got a few shots of Rye and the right music playing he'd be 'a kitten') is a fun idea to play with. There've been some great analysis that say, 'absolutely, yes, he's a psychopath by the clinic definition' while also leaving room for the idea that there are people who struggle with psychopathy every day, and that some part of him may be struggling against the behavior that got him sent to hell is honestly my favorite take on his character and this taps into that amazingly well.

Once again: impressive. Hearing the radio edits along with the Voice singing as A CHARACTER is amazing. Well done sir

Everything about this song has blown me away, from the sound effects to the musical composition, to how clear and concise each word is pronounced, to the accuracy of Alastor’s character-I really could go on for a while. Technical flair aside, I personally love how deeply calming this tune and your voice is. I’ve set this on repeat for the past couple of weeks since finding it and it doesn’t fail to calm me down. Thank you so much for this beautiful work.

Really love how you are able to recreate Alastor voice and it fit so well! Always wanted to hear him speak in french, it's beautiful! I'm a french canadian and I love the fact that even if the voice do have a little accent, we are able to perfectly understand each sentences! Good work!

I love this song, and I feel like it really fits Alastor's personality - a gentleman, with manners, who likes to sing old-timey songs, and since he can speak French, this is a perfect song for him in my opinion.

this has such a calming feel to it. Hopefully whenever a new episode of hazbin hotel comes out at some point alastor while sing something again. Amazing job.

This song somehow always ends up on my recommended when I need it to calm down. I always love listening to this when I'm tired, stressed, or nervous. Helps me calm down, relax, and gather my thoughts. So it means a lot, which does seem kinda silly, a cover of a fictional character singing a random song helps a person like me morw than you'd think. So thank you.

BEAUTIFUL! As a French student this makes me feel really happy! Coolest thing is that Alastor canonically can speak some French. I love the radio noises and the laughter and Alastor's comments. This is what I need to relax and go to sleep!
