[Music Fixed] Sniper EFI: Initial thoughts and issues [It's good!]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

EDIT: Found the project files for this video from 2018 and made a new version for those bothered by the music. Thanks for watching!
In this brief video, I discuss the issues I have encountered with the Sniper EFI system and it's matching Sniper EFI fuel tank conversion, give my initial impressions, and discuss changes to the system. Watch until the end for cold start, warm start, and in-gear idling of the vehicle on the new EFI.

Got this exact setup for my 69 Fastback with a 302, even the fuel tank. My dad had the original engine with 120k mileage (dad got it from the original owner I have complete history with a Marti report) rebuilt in the mid 2000s with a “hot cam”, his words. He kept good files but I couldn’t the work order receipt only some breakin instructions. Lost him a year and a half ago. I dove into finishing what was supposed to be his retirement project car as I was something we’d planned to do together before life got in the way. Body got completely disassembled and repainted in Oxford white by Ford. I just got it to place willing to finish it 100%, as my health and where I stay makes finishing it myself not feasible. I can’t wait till I hear it fire up again for the first time since we took it apart running ages ago. I’m going to be using your videos to help explain to my mechanic what I want done and your tips (especially the fuel lines in the trunk being steel and a false bottom) are very precise and well presented. Should make getting it squared away a breeze. Thanks a ton.

Using hard fuel lines and making a fake floor for the trunk are things Ill keep in mind if I ever put in a more modern engine in my '65. So far Im thinking of a 1uz fe swap.

Thanks for keeping us updatet, It takes long time to start when it is cold, is it possible to improve that ?

It should only take a few cranks to start once tuned. In general, mine starts after about 3 cranks. It is still throttle body injection, so it still has to have the engine crank enough to pull air and fuel in for the spark, where as if it were injected at each runner or direct port, it would have the fuel immediately available at the cylinder. If it's taking more cranks, either you aren't waiting for the fuel prime and initial injector pulse to preload the intake manifold with fuel, the build of your engine is such cams and compression require more for it to kick off, or your tune is off for cold start.

I bought one off Amazon and one directly through Holley's web site.
