Wonderful, and huge, collection of box sets! I always tell my wife and friends that I seriously do need a 300 year life span to truly (somehow) get enough of all this music that I love so much. I dunno, man, I was buying classic records with my allowance as a young kid in the 70s...and I'm still getting off on 'em! Still love them dearly, and want to for another 250 years. Heh! And you know, there's "so many" that we love, right? Good for you to display these collections because it's not only fun to do, but it helps to validate all of this "Imelda Marcos"-like fanatical purchasing. I also tend to say, "We're with music, like high maintenance dames are with shoes!" Haha Anyway, cool clip. Great collection. Keep Rockin'! ⚡ *Almost forgot. Just a heads up here. That BLACK CROWES box is called "SHO 'NUFF" not "Amorica". As I'm sure you know, the latter is one of the albums within the set.

Your vids always save me time and money! For example, I had no idea that REO Speedwagon "Early Years" boxset existed, and trying to get the first few albums on disc was near impossible and would cost a fortune to buy separately. And there they are in one handy package! Granted, that also means that I'm then buying what I'm seeing, so maybe I'm not saving money after all...but thanks for hunting them down for us!
Brendon, I love that Little Feat boxset. The new "Waiting for Columbus" boxset is great. You may also want to check out the Crosby box set, Stills box set, and Nash box set. Lots of great music and they look good on shelf as CSN.

I’ve actually got quite a bit. Several albums, boxset, best of, limited promotional album, and probably more that I’m not remembering at this moment…haha
Oh, also, Brendon, i have a band for you to check out if you’ve never heard of them, its a band called “YOB”, they are kind of a progressive rock/metal/doom band, but its not just constant metal, it is beautiful at times. they’re one of my favorite bands now, i know they have an odd name, but they are simply one of the best bands i have ever heard. If you do check them out, I would recommend their latest album “our raw heart”, and to fully experience and enjoy it, you have to sit through the whole album, its a masterpiece in my opinion. Hope you like it.

Hi Brendon love the videos but I'm a bit shocked that you describe Budgie as a NWOBHM band, they formed in 1967 and so predated that movement by over 10 years. Admittedly they did get some exposure by riding its coat tales, I saw them support Saxon at Stafford Bingley Hall, but before this time they had recorded, probably, their best material.
@BrendonSnyder
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I don’t really know why. Others have had an issue too. Judas Priest was also part of it. You don’t have to be a band that only started in the late 70’s or early 80’s to be part of the NWOBHM. There were plenty of bands that the NWOBHM helped gain a bigger audience from and Budgie was one of them.
@iansmithwolves10
Жыл бұрын
@@BrendonSnyder Judas Priest were never a NWOBHM band. Perhaps it appeared so from the US but believe me, they too were going a long time before and were never associated with it.
These days I always check if there's an album collection when I get into a new band. While I do like individual albums, I appreciate how easy to find and cheap the boxes often are. I just ordered that Cars collection, and in Feb there's a Mötley Crüe album collection coming out which I'm getting - I've had poor luck finding the individual albums.
@johndelaurentis9294
Жыл бұрын
Know that the Motley Crue box set coming out in February is just the songs from the original albums - none of the bonus tracks from the earlier releases are included! I bought the earlier versions on ebay that came out in 2000 or 2003 that have those bonus tracks just today, and will pass on the Motley Crue set. I did buy the Dokken box set coming out this month, which has their first four albums, but again, there are no bonus tracks on that set either. However, there was only one of those albums released with a bonus track, so I will make do with just the original songs.
@daniellothgren157
Жыл бұрын
Like Brendon, I prefer when there are no bonus tracks, so that's good for me. Got Too Fast For Love with the bonus tracks, but I could survive without them - if I was a big fan, it would be different, though.
@johndelaurentis9294
Жыл бұрын
@@daniellothgren157 My understanding is that Brendon loves the bonus tracks added to these releases or at least if they include them on separate discs. I rather like the bonus tracks that are on the Too Fast for Love CD. What I'm not a fan of is multiple versions of the same song repeated over and over, like on some of the Dylan bootleg series.
@daniellothgren157
Жыл бұрын
Agreed, unique bonus tracks are nice, but repeats (demos, live, slightly alternate) are not interesting to me. I'll hear them once and never again. Some demos are interesting, but then it's gotta be something like the early Death demos. And those came on separate discs, which is a different story - just keep them off the studio album so that it plays and ends as intended!
Hi Brendon. What a collection. If out of all your box sets you were told you could only take 5 with you , what would be the 5 you would grab.

I recently bought a Dream Theater box set for all their studio albums from 92 to 2011. Cost me $35 on Amazon. Great deal for 10 cds. Do you have this one?
Hi Brendon! Check out the new Public Image Limited with Johnny Lydon Rotten. It's called "HAWAII" It's not like anything that he's done in the past. It's a Ballad for his wife Nora, who's the Mom of the late SLITS member Ari Up. Nora is battling Alzheimer's Disease, and this new song is for her.
so Awesome, you could open up your own music store. That Def Leppard box set is my favorite sitting on your shelf. I was wondering if you know if Stryper ever put out a boxset?
@BrendonSnyder
Жыл бұрын
Never heard anything about a Stryper boxset. Their original first run of albums from the 80’s had been out of print for a long time but just had Japanese editions issued. Most of their catalogue is on small independent labels so it would be hard to gather that up. Usually that’s why boxsets don’t happen for some bands. It comes down to who owns what.

@@BrendonSnyder ohhh okay, ty buddy!!
Nice design! Who was your architect? (LOL) I just recently picked up the Bad Co. Anthology. Did you get the double disc sets of their original albums? I got that Doobie Brothers album collection along with Long train runnin box which included rarities and single mixes. BGO records also issued the original albums with the rarities from that box. I do have issues with some of the clamshell boxes which don't have writer and production credits. Hall and Oates and Journey's boxes were that way and I had to go after the original albums as it just felt something was missing.. WEA's clamshell's are a tad better but I have very few. At this point in the game, I would have acquired first or even second generation cds. Those were the only two that we both have as my tastes range mostly soul and jazz. It's good to see different stuff and what is out there as I plan to buy some collections and yours is fairly deep and full of in demand stuff.
