Mushoku Tensei is my one of my favorite anime this year. The story is just SO GOOD. Also I rarely read books but I bought the light novel and am currently reading it as well. The OST of the series is beautiful and unique but it wasn't that coverable BUT episode 21's OST was so epic so I decided to make a cover. Also added some AOT elements. Lol

*2, episodes, earlier* Rudeus: Thank God they didn't ask where I got that info. For now, anyway. Until I find out what that pale jerk is thinking, I should be careful who I tell about him. PS the first time I saw the season I felt like man god should just have told rudeus that most of the people who know about him are his enemies, even if they are few in number some of them are unbeatable. and rudeus should've objectioned man god for not telling so. Then I changed my mind when speedran the season again and only noticed rudeus being careful about whom to tell all this, making me think that he promised himself to be careful of whom to tell for the rest of the story and he got careless then at episode 21. Now looking deeper in details of what he said in ep 19 I went back to square 1

@@wrestling_is_fake well to put it simply on the novel rudeus was alluding the name of hitogami and it was not orsted who started to asked about him, it was just because rudeus alluded that he might be connected that orsted started to ask. Plus in the LN orsted isn't as intimidating in the anime, he was just a calm man with a soothing voice like rudeus can't explain it but he was basically feeling relaxed around this guy with no tension whatsoever. Rudeus got too happy that finally he can talk with someone that knows hitogami so he got careless and revealed something he shouldn't have.

And rudeus didn't even fully believe him he just said "I don't really care anymore since you save Lillia and seems to like ruijerd besides I'm also gonna die". And again how can you say it's disappointing when you've only read the previews, and since when did MT became a psychological series when I mean it is but it uses psychology on a different way than death note, the story is just about a guy living his life,nothing more,nothing less.

Got to agree, studio making this series deserves all the good praise, they have been doing an amazing job, the quality is out of this world, the amount of detail and passion really stands out when you watch it. Mushoku is easily my top anime this season followed by ranking of kings, 86 and takt op, those are really outstanding and went above and beyond in my humble opinion, there are actually quite some good shows this season, one that also surprised me and also one of my favorites is finest assassin.

The Dragon Gate's Animation, what an awe!

The Music perfectly encapsulated the absolute desperation our party felt: Rujierd’s desperation to never let another child die on his watch, Eris’ complete helplessness to do anything to save the man she loves, and Rudeus’ absolute brutal struggle to live so that he can continue his second chance, his supposed last word even being “Eris.”

The sad part is, Ruijerd was effectively crippled by Orsted's curse. No matter how seasoned of a veteran you are, it doesn't matter when overwhelming fear paralyzes your ability to think rationally. That's what Man-God means when he says Orsted can't go all out. His curses make it so he never needs to.

Eren isnt that intimidating. Maybe eren from paths when he actually knew what he was doing against zeke. That part was fire Madara still stands as the most intimidating villain in anime history. His name was built up from the beginning of shippuden. The only thing that naruto got wrong was the kaguya ootsusuki bullshit. Well this season covers the first 6 volumes so seasons 2 and 3 will only likely cover until the 14th Novel which coincidentally enough is the latest chapter to be translated by Bookwalker and the light novel covers Rudeus all the way into his elderly years meaning were looking at atleast 5 seasons.

studio bind already work on MT for long time,i remember when there is some video leak voice when rudy save roxy and puke in 2017/2018 if im not wrong,rudy voice change became like crack teenagers voice and roxy still have same voice ..

This anime was really underrated when it was released, but now it's getting more attention that it deserves. It puts a smile on my face

@@Sylferno that's a big negative on your assessment. We are just viewing everything through Rudeu's point of view and events. He was not supposed to be there. The story of that world is that Orsted is the main character who is suppposed to kill hitogami (man god) and he will repeat indefinitely his life through a time loop until he defeats hitogami. Rudeus is just an external factor in that world. Did you forget that Rudeus was supposed to be Paul's dead child once he was born? This time he lived and his soul was replaced with the nerd from the other world.

The funniest part of that is that Orsted cheaped out on the healing magic and instead of just completely healing him. He just gave him a new heart and stitched his chest and lungs back together with magic so it looks fucked up. Leaving a very distinct scar that only Rudeus has.

This anime is a Masterpiece in every way possible. Ost, Story, Character development, Waifus, World Building, Animation, Art Style Studio Bind is awesome.

Bruh.....I watched the episode like 5 min back. And I was like "Man the music in this is gold. I wish I could hear an extended version." And immediately my brain thought of our lord and savior Samuel-sama, and lo and behold.... the Eighth Great Power himself, Music God - Samuel Kim had once again proved why he is the GOAT. Man this guy is unbelievable!

Knowing the role he plays later in the story only makes him cooler.

The moment that pretty much solidified that, in the story of this world, Rudeus is *not* the main character.

god why is he so cool. this episode gave me actual chills, i was screaming at the top of my lungs and probably annoyed my neighbors

Mushoka tensei is easily one of-if not the best isekai anime I’ve seen in decades. The story, music and characters are all so well made and developed and episode 20 of season 2 is so far the peak of this amazing anime.

I have been waiting for such a great isekai anime since I watched Re zero, but man Mushoku Tensei might turn out even better.

Ah Orsted, what an awe-inspiring character! Everything about him really speaks volume. One of the key characters which gives you the subtle feeling of awe and sublime. Mythically Metaphysical!

This scene shook me. Never knew an isekai could envoke these feelings.

Well... 2 months ago after anime have finished and i found some motivation - i started to read mushoku from LN 1 and reached LN 16 and after that switched to WN version and recent night finished it until the inscription that I did not want to see - The end - That was magnificent journey, and even if some side stories exist i still feels empty inside after all those days and nights, most days I read until 4-5 am, no regrets about that. Thanks to Rifujin for that amazing worldbuilding and characters.

I'm still surprised they remixed Carol of the Bells and made it Epic and Samuel-sama just made it even EPICER!!!

The animation, the music, the story and so much more. Everything fits so well together, god bless we are allowed to get an animation of mushoko tensei. (this episode was fire tho)

So glad to see you covering this masterpiece of a show, definitely has its anime sins, but those aside it really is such an amazing story.

what is more badass than a senior man holding a katana and gently walk out of an explosion

This episode was just perfect. The tone Dragon God Orsted set up gave me goosebumps all throughout the ep. Animation is crisper than usual, plot is mega interesting, the music!! and voice acting is amazing and to top it off its freaking Kenjiro Tsuda. When I heard his voice they removed all doubts of Mushoku becoming one of my all time favourites. I just realised he did have dialogue in s1. How could I forget?

Now this is a bossfight theme. Very menacing. It feels like going against all odds, against enemy where the slightest mistake can end up as a fatal one... It feels right.

Orsted is a true sigma He reminds of the time when I saw Madara in naruto and was so hyped and scared

Dragon god Orsted is so badass

This episode was so good. And the 🔥ost only brings it to master class. Like Rujerd holding off the dragon God for 10 seconds like that, so hype!

Overall peak of mushoku tensei? Hell nahhhhhhh, it's not comparable to turning point 3 and 4. And the final battle is amazing too. Far from peak

currently, i didn't expect this, the theme is so epic!

Everything down to the menial task they do in this anime is animated so well. The first episode when rudy used waterball and shot it solidified my love for the series from that point on

This theme Studio Bind has made is worthy to be the entrance of the strongest god , The Dragon God Orsted. This is how you introduce a character who has Dragon God in his name. Remember this guy is being held back by curses and is not even at full strength and is still the strongest. If that is not a flex I don't know what is.

*SPOILER from the novels* If you read the light novel you know that he isn't held back by anything. He is playing a long game, and the reason he can play this game at all is why he limits himself. He can go all out, use up every single spell, power and item he has, but he knows doing so he will lose this turn. There is a very specific reason he stopped disturbing Rudeus's magic, the reason is that it cost so much to counter Rudeus. Hence why he used the gate, to try and absorb that magic. One thing that was left out, but will prolly be revealed later, the stone bullet that Rudeus first shot, it grazed a god. Rudeus made a god bleed. That's how powerful he is. Not just due to magic power, but also the skill he has with configuration of the spells. The bullet was spinning fast enough to be a drill, coupled with the insane speed he put into it, as well as the mana poured into it, made it akin to AMR. Okay enough gushing, let's bring this back to the original topic: If Rudy went all out, used up his mana till he passed out, he'd recover in about 10 days. If Orsted did the same thing he'd recover in 10,000 days, and that's if he had the mana condensation capacity of Rudeus, which isn't normal by any means... Meaning it would prolly take at least 3 times that... Orsted simply cannot make a move in the long game without being countered, and eventually lose.

@@TheKueiJin Isn't that because he is not from this time period that it takes him so long to recover, he is the stongest and most skilled dragon god compared to his predecessors if I am not wrong. I know Rudeus is powerful, even Orsted acknowledges it, he is still a child yet his mana is on par with Laplas the demon god. I didn't read the novels yet but thanks for telling me Orsted's long game. I would love to see him go all out.

This anime could be very long, and very epic.

Whoever is in charge of the anime showing respect to the Novel deserves more recognition and respect and praise. Hollywood itself is a amateurish noob compared to the mature RAW POWERFUL professionalism of Mushoku Tensei’s Novel’s anime adaption. And whoever made this song, Hans Zimmer and Brian Adams should be impressed.

Wow what amazing job you did!!! This song will be heard somewhere in the future with these words: "That dragon lives alone while following the path of courtesy. The nails in his hands are long and sharp so if he never raises a fist. The second dragon clens his fist in anger his nails and teeth are broken but the feeling has been transmitted. He holds courtesy in his hand but.. Have you been abandoned this one? The third dragon died, the one who possessed the most ephemeral eyes of Dragon General... by the name of ... I summon ........."

Im on light novel 15 the anime surprises me each episode by being better then what i could imagine.

Beautifully choreographed, amazingly written characters , breaks usual isekai stuff, actually scary villains and not just powerful but on looks design and rudeus being powerless and all of us thinking that EVEN RUIJERD couldnt do anything against orsted. PHENOMENAL. Mushoku is up there with attack on titan for me and 86

This is probsbly the best isekai villain in my opinion I felt real fear when i watched that episode

The full artwork on pixiv is actually based on a fight that happens much, much later in the web novel, and I gotta say, when it gets animated in 4-5 years, it will be the most overwhelming display of Orsted's dominance in the whole series, even more so than what we see in the episode.

it was not more overwhelming than here, his opponent made up a good fight and made him use so much magic he was effectively crippled for years to come

@@lucasconti9562 no, judging from his clothes it's most likely his final fight in vol 24 of the Web Novel. During the battle in LN vol 16(WN vol 17) his top was completely teared apart leaving him shirtless

*..do you know, about someone called Man-God* chilling how he didn’t even waited for the response, as soon as he didn’t hear or saw anything of “let’s say of an unfamiliar reaction to the name” for a millisecond, he was already on for the kill, no wonder Rudeus was traumatized. Orsted didn’t have to hear the answer, he just knew as soon as he finshied asking the question 🥶

Music and ANimation quality is top notch.

When you reach THAT point in novels past anime and this theme hits different when you know what he ACTUALLY can do

DAMN! I loved this BGM! It really gave chills and really made Orsted's entrance (along with Nanahoshi) even cooler and badass!!! Love the music man!!!

We need some 86 EIGHTY-SIX covers too! Some banger soundtracks in that anime 🤌

Now I want to rewatch Mushoku Tensei with a few friends of mine just to see their reaction to this episode
