President Museveni using a combination of monetary and fiscal policies to generate employment opportunities in Uganda.President Museveni had earlier on set up development banks to help manufacturers. And had also in the pa😢st appeal to commercial banks to lower their lending rates and to prioritise their loans on projects that will stimulate employment in Uganda. Now in this video President Museveni is explaining to the traders the tax regimes:Categories of goods that enjoy tax waivers and why some goods are taxed minimally and others exposed to full taxations. There is nothing, especially in Africa, difficult to understand like the tax regimes. So in my view the Ugandan Taxation Office should organise regular briefings on taxation and this should be translated. When this is done, traders will now shift their focus to goods that enjoy tax waivers which will in turn lead to job creation in Uganda.
