'How'd you get all the way up there?' 'Through sheer force of will!' I love the idea of Murray being so determined to get on top of the sign, that he just willed himself up. One of the best video game characters of all time.

"Is it a really EVIL looking doorstop?" Possibly my favourite line from this game, and it has a lot of great ones. ^.^

"How can you see without eyeballs?" "How can you walk around without a brain?" Timeless.

Scarecrow: "You see, I haven't got a brain." Dorothy: "But how can you talk if you haven't got a brain?" Scarecrow: "I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don't they?" - "The Wizard of Oz" movie, 1939. It seemed similar and relevant enough to post.

Murray is possibly the greatest character in this series. Without him, the game would have never had so many great and entertaining lines.

That clicking of his teeth while talking gets me every time

Murray- _"I am standing as a testament..."_ Guybrush- _"Standing?"_ Murray- _"Hanging as a testament...."_

"...as I stride..." "Stride?" "All right, ROLL! ROLL....must you take the fun out of everything!" One the many great lines from Murray.

Trying to give Murray his arm back a bunch of times would result in an amazing "STOP TORMENTING ME!" haha.

"I'm sorry, it's been a rough day."

If you try giving Murray his arm back, Guybrush would question how would that work if he has no torso. I love this game.

I have been quoting "TURN BACK, TURN BACK, DARKNESS WILL ENVELOP YOU" ever since I first played curse as a kid. No-one ever gets the reference, but I keep doing it 😌

I aspire to be like Murray one day... Personality-wise, I mean, I don't think it's a great life goal to get decapitated.

As i knew, Murray was meant to be a very tiny minor character! The developers planned to let him appear only in this scene and no more! But testers took a very liking to him due to his interesting personality and dialogues. The developers decided to make him appear in more scenes and re-appear in all Monkey Island games.
