@@iulianpartenie6260 Spot on. Sir Misery was down a set & double break then pressured the portly umpire in need of Ozempic into stopping even though Yannick was the one about to serve. Between the changeover & extended stalling by Screaming Scotty, the conditions worsened & they finally paused. For the record, Half-man was playing great & deserved to go up 5-1 before they called it quits. There was heavier rain during the men's doubles final in Rom & yet they played through it.

Murray is getting more depth with the new racket and it also looks like he altered his forehand backswing a little bit. He really should have done this 5 years ago. Probably too little too late at this point. Still would be nice to see him put together a few deep runs before he hangs it up.

  • @got2bjosh

You didn't watch the full match. The racket didn't do much. He started well but age & old habits took over when facing the power of youth. The Grman's returns were simply stunning. At this level, tennis is about mindset & Scotty's is outmoded. Sir Misery's serving still sucked (~46%) & his returns were still short. Yannick broke him three times & two of those were to love. He deserved to serve for 5-1 before they stopped. Fattensworth acquiesced to Angry Andy. Then it was too late.

Murray's new Yonex racquet is a great match for his playing style. However, his playing style is not suited to competing on clay courts. By changing his racket, he is now able to generate power, speed, and spin more easily than before, so I think it is better to use the ball with more rotation than before and attack flat in important situations.
