Murphy's Law was in full effect working on my YJ
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I'm finishing up the interior of my 1992 Jeep Wrangle YJ. We're installing a new radio, new antenna and new Vaulted Glove Box. Unfortunately, few things went as planned. Murphy's law took over and made this easy afternoon project a 3 day mess.

While I’m a JL guy … this was still very fun to watch your problem solving and overall care for Project Emo! Loved it! 👊🏼👊🏼😃😃

Thanks!
Absolutely love the project emo content, I’d love to get a “save the squares” tire cover for my YJs.

Wow, the previous owner really did a job on this vehicle. I am enjoying watching you get through the issues, though.

For butt connectors, i highly recommend using the shrink tube/solder style. Crimp, hit with a heat gun and you have a solid mechanical connection with water resistance. Better long term 🤙

Nice! Thanks!!
Thanks for your videos!! I have a project 95 YJ with a rats nest of wires hanging near the gear shift. I have to figure out where they all go and what they are/were for. It is always an adventure 😊 All the best, Norm in Arizona

Thank you so much! Yeah I’m so happy she’s all put together.
The fact that “it’s okay to seek advice from an expert” are the first words spoken from your new radio cracked me up. Always fun cleaning up other peoples messes. Nice video brotha

Haha. I hadn’t thought about that. Maybe my Jeep was having a knight rider moment.
Hey Matt, love your dedication to keeping the YJ cared for. My family has a 93 YJ my dad bought new. It has sentimental value for all of us as a fun secondary vehicle. 5 years ago we put a bunch of money in it to rebuild engine / trans / lift / seats / paint etc. But the 2.5 inch suspension lift ruined the ride and my dad (having just had a knee surgery) fell out of love with it and I fear he will sell it. It looks great but the ride is harsh and bouncy. Do you have any advice that can be cost effective to save it? Thanks for the great content.

I wish I did.
I got really lucky when I bought my YJ the previous owners weren't really into aftermarket stuff so everything is pretty much original

That’s awesome!!!
What seat covers do you have in that thing? If you don't mind me asking
Next time you have to work on stereo stuff let me know. I really enjoy doing it. Blue is about the only vehicle I've left the sound alone on. I can't wait to see Emo crushing the trails.

@@SimplyMustGo well you do own two YJ's so never say never 🤣
Looks like you need a standard to mini antenna adapter and some Allen wrench sockets from HF to make your life easier. You going to TN next month?

I don’t know. These came on the Jeep when I bought it and I think I’m missing one. Guess I should start looking.

Coming late to the game, but that's just going to bubble up with more rust. You should have scraped ALL of the bubbled paint off, then scuff sanded.
@SimplyMustGo

Yeah. This was more of a short term fix. The whole Jeep is eventually going to get sanded down and painted again.
Emo needs some arm tatoos and a guitar I think.

Haha. You have no idea. No idea at all. The video I have planned for the actual finished project is going to be so Emo. 🖤
Way too much talking. Just do it, show it, and move on.
